We are looking at purchasing a piece of furniture from a store in Orlando. Their delivery charges are outrageous. Is there anyone around that offers some type of service that would pickup & deliver?

Thanks, Vicki

Enterprise or Hertz may have a small truck you can rent to pick it up yourself or give The Village Movers a call and see what they might charge.

This is amazing that this is not a going business. Most places want 60 or more bucks to deliver. Seems in an area like TV where very few own trucks that someone would enjoy the business and could do it for a more reasonable fee. We bought a TV at Circuit City and they wanted $69 for delivery. I said no and figured we could rent a Uhaul for the $19.95 a day cheaper. There were none available but when I called Penske the nice lady there referred me to a gentleman that met us there and drove it to our house for $20. Unfortunately he doesn't do this for a living, we just got lucky.

Yes. There is a man who advertises regularly in The Daily Sun, usually in the area of furniture for sale. He has a truck and will pick up new or used furniture and transport it for you.

If you can't find his ad, PM me, and I'll give you the information.

Perfect timing. There is a mover that many of the small furniture stores use around TV and he delivered some of my outdoor lanai furniture from the store to my house. He is VERY inexpensive and VERY reliable and has a great reputation around town. Just called him today to have 3 pieces of furn moved from a friend's house to mine, and he would only charge $75 and would do it tomorrow. He's also very good at setting things up for you, like my lanai fountain, he set up when he delivered it. I can't say enough good things about him, his name is Bobby Archie and he's the owner of Tri-county movers. His number is 352-208-5288. He delivered the furniture for Pier I as well. Good guy. Please tell him Kathie recommended him. thanks.
