I would like to replace my laminate countertops with new ones. I know granite is very popular. I would appreciate any advise from your experience and who you would recommend to do the job. Thank you.

I replaced my countertops with quartz. Beautiful, and colors from light to dark. I ordered mine from Home Depot.

If you want to do the counter tops inexpensively, use HD Laminate. Google - Wilsonart HD Laminate for the types.

I had mine done in Italian Marble and it's looks beautiful.

A friend of mine just used Doc's restorations, 352-753-0056
located in Summerfield.

In our remodeled homes we had granite, corian, and finally Quartz. Quartz is the very best in my opinion. I hear good things about Wildwood kitchen and bath.

That's a first because I don't recall ever seeing anything positive about WK&B on TOTV. Central FL K&B also does all modes of countertops.

Granite. You can say your countertop is thousands and thousands years old.

It makes me feel younger, every time I look at it.

After a lot of research I went with Quartz and used Duncan Stone which was highly recommended on this site. Extremely happy with both Quartz and Duncan Stone.

We used ARS in Fruitland Park and are still very happy with them 2 years later. They are a family run business. Quality workmanship all the way... And they do it all - including installing and hooking up new sinks and faucets if you want them. They were on time, respectful and talented workers. Will choose them again when we redo the bathroom shower in our master next year.

What's the feeling about Doc's Restoration? We are just in the questioning phase.

We used granite, as we have used previously. We prefer the more natural look. We used Gil's Granite and More in Bellview. Nice job on granite, but he could really use a project manager!

we love the look of our granite...Quartz didn't do it for us. We got a fantastic price for kitchen and two baths from Minami In Ocala.

Granite. For sure. Previous poster mentioned it not having the heat resistance? Im not sure what they are talking about. We frequently put hot baking pans, sauce pans, etc directly on our granite. We've never had any issues.

I would like to replace my laminate countertops with new ones. I know granite is very popular. I would appreciate any advise from your experience and who you would recommend to do the job. Thank you.I understand that you want the most current information available. Perhaps you've already done this - for research purposes, you might want to use the search button above to search for the word "granite". There have been many previous threads about granite and recommendations re dealers (and who not to use).

A friend of mine had his counter-tops done by Doc's Restoration and found them to be professional and was very satisfied with their work.

We replaced our counter-tops that were quartz with Cambria quartz.

Check out the designs... So beautiful.. Made in the USA and a lifetime guarantee!

I actually got 12 estimates for the same counter-top, same design, etc. The estimates ranged from about $5,500 to $12,000. The place in Wildwood was one of the highest.

The gentleman who did it come highly recommended here on TOTV.

It depends on what you want - If you want solid - you want Quartz, not Granite. Depending on what type of Granite - you have to worry about scratches, etc. Also very expensive. Quartz is way more durable. HOWEVER, I will tell you to go with HD Laminate - it is Wonderful stuff and costs 1/3 of the other 2. And in 10 years, when Granite is out of style and people look at it like Harvest Gold and Avacado green carpet, you can replace it with something more stylish and not feel like you had to mortgage the future.
