Played the course yesterday and was surprised to see that the tall grass along side fairways on holes 7,8, and 9 was full of rats around 7:30pm.
Hope they don't find there way to homes along the course.

There are rats on all of the courses. And, all the common landscaping.

If I recall, that course borders the construction dump. Many days you can hear people using the rats for target practice.

Try to think of them as squirrels. Or chipmunks.

No wonder I can't get a birdie there! The rats are chasing them away.

Just as bad, Gracie. I was playing golf at Bonifay last year and a monkey squirrel took off with my golf ball. It ran about 20 yards, turned around to taunt me, and went another 10 yards before it dropped my ball. The other guys in the foursome made me play it where the rat dropped the ball.

karostay that seems to be a common denominator on all courses and players spend as much time avoiding piles as they do looking for an errant golf ball Yea i know its those coyotes

I must get around to more courses. I have never seen a deposit of scat on a golf course. For that matter, I've not seen any anywhere else in The Villages in the last few years either.
