View Full Version : In the market for a golf cart

I am looking for a gas golf cart and am deciding which brand to buy. Leaning toward a Yamaha. Is there any year's to stay away from or what not? Also what is the best rear seat to put on one. Looking around the $2500 price range.

if you want a 4 seater,buy a 4 seater,it will cost to much to add a rear seat later.

I would suggest a 2013 or newer Yamaha because fuel injection was available but I don't think you will find one for $2500. Whatever you buy, make sure there are records of periodic maintenance.

Good luck looking for one at $2500. That might get you a beat up electric needing batteries. Plan on at least $4000 for any decent.

Agree. Need to plan on more fore a half decent gas model regardless if 2 or 4 seater. Good luck.

The Yamaha gas golf cart will probably be the last cart you'll have to buy. However, you'll need to double your budget or otherwise you're buying someone else's troubles. Look at this website, they have what you want, but not at your price:

$2500 would buy a 10 yr old clunker. OK if you like to tinker. Otherwise plan on $5000, and still be wary of condition.

There are thousands and thousands of 10 year old and older carts running all over TV. Most make it home every day.

Keep your eyes and ears open and you'll find a nice one for $2,500 plus or minus.

Expect to spend another $2,500 for maintenance and repairs in the next five years or so - as you would also had to spend if you bought a 5 year old cart for $5,000.
