A frequent customer of Doggie Doo Run Run (DDRR) --not me--received a $160 traffic citation yesterday on CR101 going north from CR466 to DDRR.

The cones were not up yesterday and I have seen a number of cars and trucks go around or through them.

Supposedly there is a letter from a Sumter County Commissioner allowing access to local businesses without getting a ticket. I assume this is if the orange cones are not being used as a barricade.

Maybe, someone will post a copy of this letter if they access to it. I am assuming this is District 2's Commissioner-- District 2 | Sumter County, FL - Official Website (http://sumtercountyfl.gov/118/District-2) but it could be 3 District 3 | Sumter County, FL - Official Website (http://sumtercountyfl.gov/135/District-3)

I don't know about cones... but I think there is a large lighted sign on wheels. What does it say? ;)

It says "Local traffic only". Doggie Doo Run Run is one of the businesses affected by this work.

The owner of DDRR Scott mentioned that someone had told him that his customers could use the road to get to his business (unless a road worker directed them elsewhere).

I added the stuff in parentheses as sometimes there has been a road worker directing us to a detour.

Another way to get to DDRR is to go north on 301 (from 466)and turn right onto 104. Take that till it dead-ends into 101, turn right and immediately left into DDRR.

You can take CR103 to CR104 too. That does take you through some rather narrow lanes.
