How many TOTV'ers stay in contact with their brothers or sisters up North. I just called my sissie in Pa and said...." just finished golfing, then I took a relaxing walk, washed the car and now I'm sipping a G&T on the lanai, ...it's 80 degrees and sunny (she said they are getting 6 inches of snow and freezing rain tonight) and tonite it's the movies"... I sure wish she'd join us here in paradise. Eastern Pennsylvanians are hard to budge.

I'd REALLY start to tell you how I felt about you but then my signal would purposely go silent.
Actually had e-mail from friends in Sable Chase rubbing it in. I sent them back a nice nastigram too. And I hope you enjoyed your gasoline & turpentine drink. HaHaHa

I tell family and friends about our weather and lifestyle. I know they think I am gloating about the weather. I'm not. I just want them all to live here also.
I remember when friends used to do that to us. I used to think I would NEVER move to Florida. NOw I am sorry I didn't do it earlier..but I guess "to all things there is a season" applies.
Donnaloni, you should come down early. Forget California!!

I stay in touch with my siblings up north by email. They really don't want to hear about our weather or lifestyle. I complained about the temps in the teens last week and got a couple of very unsympathetic nastigrams back. I guess they think the teens are a heat wave when their wind chill is -25.

For 30 years my brother and I lived 400 plus miles apart and even though we saw one another and kept in touch it was an effort (only becasue of distance) on both our part. Now after retirement we live less than 1 mile from one another and enjoy family get togethers, pickelball, dances and other activities that I know I never expected to happen after retirement.

Weather in Ohio stinks - so I am sure your family in PA -- was very jealous.
We sit here looking at our 12 inches of snow - 2 inches of ice - and wonder "Why are we here", when we could be in our home in the Villages.
We know the answer - just not ready yet. But, we will be there - and you can bet we will let our friends here about the 80 degree golf weather.

I talk to my sisters every week - (love cell phones). I have lived away from them for 40 years although I see them several times a year and we take the cheapest cruise we can find (inside cabin) the 3 of us every Feb or March and go someplace warm for them -I have 3 brothers and see them when I go to Illinois and talk to them sometimes, but not like my sisters.
