Anyone hear the plane tonight?

I didn't note the time (darn it; I think it was right around NCIS time), and I heard the drone of a small plane. I didn't think anything about it, because I hear small planes all the time, but suddenly there was a high-pitched eeeeeeee followed by firecracker sounds, then nothing! No drone. No engine sound at all.

I went outside to look, but by the time I got outside the engines came back on. I would guess it was around 5 seconds without the engine sound. I could see the plane. It had no flames or anything out of the ordinary, and it was flying south to north along Buena Vista. It just continued along its way, but it was really strange. Did anybody else hear it?

UU, I may have heard it and thought it was unusual. However, I didn't pay much attention to it after all I lived a 1/2 mile from LAX in Los Angeles, and they flew over my head all day long.

We just got home tonight at 8 and there was a helicopter flying over Saddlebrook and Polo Ridge. A police car went by us on Bueno Vista and it pulled into Saddlebrook. It's now 8:40 and the helicoptor is still going over our house. We live in Villa Berea and when we came in, a police car was coming out of Archer Ave. Does anybody know what is going on?? We keep our car out and we made certain it was locked. I did see some garages open and I don't think that is such a good idea tonight.

We were coming home tonight at 8 o'clock and a helicoptor was going over Polo Ridge, back and forth. As we were coming off Bueno Vista, a police car went into Saddlebrook. As we were entering Villa Berea off Southern Trace, another police car was coming out of Villa Berea. It's now almost 9 o:clock and the helicopter is still out there. Does anyone know what is going on?

I was sitting on the couch and heard the doorbell ring, when I went to answer the door there was absolutely noone there. Im getting sceeeeered!!!

It may not be anything to be afraid of....a lot of times they are looking for someone with Alzheimer's who has eloped from home.

If this is the case I hope they find them soon...it is getting cold out side. I was visiting friends in Tall Trees and saw a sherriff in the area as well as the helicopter.

If they are looking for some one dangerous....I hope they get them too!

Just came home via 466 to Buena Vista...the helicopter was hovering overhead around Walgreens and that general area. 3 Sheriff's cars , lights blazing where on both sides of 466 beyond the lights at Buena Vista down by Laurel Manor..:shrug::shrug::shrug:

The last time this happened, the planes searched all day long for a missing woman. It is so sad to hear of other people's troubles. I wish them well.

I did not hear the plane, but last night I had a sleepless night and heard the train many times. The wind must have been just right.
