Both times that I have visited TV, I have visited the sown squares at night. The seem croweded most of the time. This brought up the questions of: How often do you visit the town squares and how important are they to life in TV?

1 to 2 x's a week... always fun. We'd probably go more frequently but both still work part-time.

I talked with two couples this week ... both couples live within walking distance of Lake Sumter Landing. I was curious whether people who live closer to LSL go more often.

Both couples said they go to the square once or twice a week at most.

We also go once or twice a week, but live about 18 minutes away by cart.

3+ times per week to DANCE to the bands in moderate weather. Seldom in the hot hot weather of July and August. Seldom go to see DJs. A good band on a nice night, I'm there!!! :pepper2:

Once a week and we vary which Square we visit. It never matters to us which band or Dj is entertaining. We mostly go to people watch while we're eating ice cream!

Once a week. It has been too chilly to listen to the band or dance for the last couple of weeks, but since it has become warmer in the evening, we probably will go more often. We went to TooJays to eat but didn't even walk down to see the dancing.

After the novelty wore off, we visit about 3 to 4 times a year. It is not a big deal.

And we definitely stay away from the holiday festivities. Too many people.

But then we have been here for 7 years.

There is more to this question than just the question...
Yoda, do you mean how often do we visit specifically for the entertainment and dancing in the evening? Maybe twice a week.

On the other hand, yesterday I visited Spanish Springs for the movie; tomorrow is dinner at the Japanese steakhouse in LSL. Every time I go to Sweetbay or Barnes & Noble I make a point of cruising around the square. I go shopping downtown, I eat at restaurants downtown, I stop at Ambrosia for orange ice cream, I buy cards at the Hallmark store and the tea shoppe, I stroll the boardwalk...

So for all the other things I'm at the square almost daily. There's much more to do at the squares than only the evening's entertainment.

We may go to town squares five or six times a week for a variety of reasons. Plus for the nightly entertainment I would say 1 or 2 per week during the cooler months and 3 to 4 times per week, if not more, during the warmer months.

Oh how we love to hear Rocky and the Rollers play the same 5 sets of songs for the 1000th time.

We go about 2 times a week. Rocky and the Rollers is our favorite.

...but that is usually to see a movie at one of the squares' theaters, or to Barnes and Noble, or to get an ice cream.

Really only go to the Squares for evening entertainment when we have company visiting. That is two or three times a year.

That reminds me of the Yogi Berra quote -

"Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded."

If you include all reasons for being at the square, we probably go there three times a week or more. If you are asking how often we go just for the evening entertainment, dancing and bands, maybe only once or twice a month.

If you thought it was crowded when you visited, try going when something "special" is going on such as Madi Gras, Saint Paddy's Day, Christmas Tree Lighting, or the many other activities that occur at the squares.

We look at the squares as one of the many benefits of living in TV, and one that costs us very little.
