Yesterday we arrived at Seattle airport at 7:15 am for 9am flight. Saw LONG security lines, suddenly line starting moving fast. They starting announcing don't take shoes off, don't take laptops out out, etc...all so quick. However they did check and recheck then open my carry on. Ok, guilty as charged, had a larger than allowed container of body lotion. Long day, arrived home 12 hours later, door to door. It was all worth it!

My daughter flew from Dallas to Seattle last month. I told her to be there early, both locations. No lines. In Dallas, the TSA guy was reading a book. "Thanks dad!"

A few times with short lines does nothing to change the overall view that the system is broken and corrupt.

I'd rather be inconvenienced than blown up at 35,000 ft.

So they speed up the service...by not providing part of the service (conducting the search). Sounds like a bureaucrat's solution. At least the employees have more time to read books.
