Yesterday when interviewed regarding the Gun Control issue Rep. Charlie Rangel made the following statement.
The Daily Caller‘s Kerry Pickett challenged Rangel on the state of concealed-carry permitting in New York City, where celebrities and the politically connected often receive permits but everyday New Yorkers don’t. “Why should, say, the uber-wealthy who have protection have that protection, but individuals who are law-abiding citizens in your district should not? she asked. “Well law-abiding citizens just shouldn’t have to carry a gun,” Rangel responded. “You know that, so you’re not going to push me in that direction.”“But you’re protected by guns all over the place here in the Capitol,” she pointed out.Rangel laughed at that. “Well that’s a little different,” he chuckled. “I think we deserve–I think we need to be protected down here.”
There is an unbelievable attitude of entitlement (from both sides of the isle) so is it no wonder that they cannot work together on the issues that affect "us". His comment "I think we deserve..."
just tells the attitude of our lawmakers. They are exempt from Obamacare, get full retirement after 1 term, their kids and their staffers children are exempt from paying back student loans, and it goes on and on. Good luck USA!
