Who for high speed internet and tv in Osceola Hills

We are closing on a new home in Osceola Hills on June 30. We currently have Comcast for our internet and DTV for tv here in Indiana. I like cable internet rather than DSL due to speed difference. Who provides cable tv in Osceola Hills? Who provides best service?

Broighthouse provides extremely good service and has an office in Wildwood, should any problems come up.

So far excellent TV and Internet and several choices on speed on the internet to choose from..

There isn't the older DSL technology (broadband over copper wires) is that area. CenturyLink has fiber optic cable to the house and offers a variety of speeds up to 1 gigabit per second. The other companies are coax cable based and offer a variety of speeds also. Your choices in that area are as follows:

We are moving into the village of Sanibel and just discovered that Comcast is not available, at least according to the cs person I talked to here in Colorado. So we quit what was pretty good service here with lightning fast internet (they call it boost) and decent tv. Aside from the annual raises in price which we always question and get changed to a special deal, we are happy with it. What is comparative down there. I noticed that Broighthouse is available but is extremely expensive if we do internet only with Direct TV for TV. They seem to force you in to a package deal. Who offers internet only that is decent if I want to go with Direct?

Comcast IS available in Sanibel. I had it for two terrible years before unloading it for BrightHouse. I've been smiling ever since - two happy years.

Comcast is abusive. I am holding a UPS shipping ticket and printed a delivery receipt when Con Cast received my modem. I am also holding the bill from the modem not being returned. What a surprise...they can't even end the relationship properly. Today on TOTV there was a post from someone looking for advise on who to choose for service and they shared the cost where they were was $292 a month. Never again...Never. The advice you got from dbussone is the only advice you'll need. :pepper2:

That’s interesting I left cable modem for DSL because of speed. I get 100mbs with DSL. But I don’t live in TV. I mention the above because it would be worth your time to ask what DSL speeds are in your area.

I too have DTV but will switch to cable when in TV. Thunderstorms will block DTV signal and central FL is known for having an occasional thunderstorm. I was in Orlando recently and lost tv signal for a large part of the afternoon (DTV). I hate that I’ll be going to cable, but it’s a necessary evil, imo.

Many here will say DTV signal loss is minimal. Unless one watches tv 24/7 no one can say just how often signal is lost. My luck is such that I’ll lose signal bottom of the 9th, game 7 of the world series. I can avoid that with underground cable, I choose to have no signal loss. I do love my DTV, will be sad to see it go.

Brighthouse has been very good for us. Customer service is awesome, also.

Funny you say it is available in Sanibel because when I gave Comcast my new address, they said it is not. No argument, just have to mail in my boxes and I'm done. Touched base with a guy from Brighthouse for install when we get there.

The patio villa we are renting in Osceola Hills has CenturyLink for the internet and TV. If a commercial or Obama or Hillary come on the TV show I am watching, I can quickly press 'last' and quickly change to any of the five previous channels I was watching. We did not have this feature when we had Verizon in Virginia, so we like this feature on CenturyLink.

I never thought about hitting the “Last” button. When BO or HC appear, my finger involuntarily hits the “OFF” button. Maybe I can retrain my thumb to hit the ‘Last’ button. :)
