View Full Version : Looking for an answer
I was curious to know the reason that Spanish Springs has kiosk Happy Hour from 5-7 and LSL and Brownwood only have it from 5-6. I called the District Office AND Entertainment but no one knew the answer. Does anyone out there know the FACTS....not just theory. My curiosity has always been peaked by this (and I don't even drink!!!). Lol

They are not as happy in LSL.

Purely speculation . It might be because amenities are not supposed to be reduced.(so I'm told) So perhaps historically it's been 2 hours at SS. Some time honored traditions like the two hour happy hour hopefully will live on forever.

Maybe different alcohol laws in different counties.
Closing times are different too.

Yes, that is the exact true answer. LSL and Brownwood are in Sumter County. Spanish Springs is in Lake County. They each can and do have different laws that the squares MUST abide by. No sinister plot or anything (although I did find the "They aren't as happy in LSL" to be funny). Boggles the mind why but there you go.

I'd attend the 2 hour ones more than the other.

Because it takes two hours of getting liquored up, to forget you're living north of 466?...
How about they're so happy they need twice as long to celebrate. :)

As good a reason as there is and likely correct.

You asked for facts.
If the Entertainment Department doesn't know the answer,
all you're going to get on TOTV is speculation, theories, and the occasional funny comment.

People south of 466 drink faster and only need one hour.

Some folks do have some very big problems, like why is happy hour not as happy as we want it to be?
Booze on my friends.
