Watched his teleprompter speech. At the end of his sentences he repeated the last word three times in an attempt to detract from the fact he was reading. Please bring back the unscripted Trump.

No No No. Hopefully Trump has finally settled down and continues in this manner. I don't care that he writes a prepared speech as long as he continues to be genuine. He made excellent points today. clearly what he said and what occurs will change and should but we know he has sent a clear message to our trading partners.
He also made it clear what will happen if the Clintons return to the Whit House
I like the more subdued Trump. I hope he listens to the people he hires to advise him.

You honestly do NOT believe that Trump writes his own speeches, do you? The points made are made by his writers and handlers. They take the points from snippets of conversation with the candidate and make it into a speech understandable to people.
He is not being genuine. He is merely parroting what his handlers believe is the way people want to perceive him.
Trump could not unilaterally make trade deals. Trump could not fire employees from Civil Service jobs like he does on The Apprentice. He is a blowhard who may understand how things are done on Washington but he wants people to believe he can do "business his way". It does not happen like that!

C'mon for cryin' out loud try be be a little realistic!!!!
How many speeches or talks or what ever did Obama ever write?
Relax; NONE. Take away his notes or his teleprompter and he is about as articulate as a 6th grader (no offense to 5th graders intended).
And denoting what YOU think he can and cannot do should be re-phrased as if you were talking about your boy Obama and what he SHOULD NOT do....but does anyway....right or wrong.....never for the country or we the people....all for his constituency(any and all people of color, legal and preferably illegal as well os the people off coloe as in rainbows)/
So if Trump does as much as you think he should not do but is more focused on America and it's people......the democratic cronies, liars, islamic sympathizers and felons do not stand a chance.
Try being......fair and balanced (:a20:) for a change....or at least somewhat factual/realistic.

Laughing at you. When Republicans use the words "fair and balanced" they are just so many empty words. Listening to you speak about Democratic cronies, liars, Islamic sympathizers, and felons, you would think that they have cornered the market on these outstanding traits. These traits aren't the sole domain of one party. With Republicans, it is all about the blame game. The game plan is to do nothing, So, you will not be responsible for anything that goes wrong.
If you took away Trump's arm waving, he would become speechless.
So, now Trump is reading from a teleprompter. So, instead of US having the highest tax rate, which he was pushing before, the US is now one of the highest. Does that make his original statements, lies?
He will now being toning back all the superlatives he uses to describe himself. That will last about two days. He can't help himself.
Since he said that he knows more about ISIS than the generals, I guess now he might actually listen to them. No, that can't happen. That is a bridge too far.
He is going to get his ass kicked in the debates. A person that he thinks he knows more than everyone about everything will find no need to prepare for the debates.

The pitch was to rebuild the middle class and to return things as they were before. But if technology dramatically changed manufacturing in the last 20 years should it be done?
How will he move manufacturing here?
I was looking at how Tesla builds cars. There are not that many jobs in a plant now that there are many robots. We would need to build a car for less money then overseas and then ship it overseas instead of using a plant overseas.
Take a look at imports and exports. Top US Exports (http://www.worldsrichestcountries.com/top_us_exports.html)
I was trying to imagine how many middle class jobs there would be with the manufacturing plant in the US. For example if we started making all the pharmaceuticals here would there be that many more jobs. Isn't that manufacturing also automated? Our numbers would go up but would the jobs.
We need middle class jobs but what can the middle class do besides the service industry. Build and service the robots?
I don't have the answers. Just a bunch of questions. Maybe the engineers in the group have more insight.
