We will be coming down to TV for a few weeks but, since our computers are desktops and since it probably doesn't pay to install internet access in our house for a short period, we were wondering if any of the rec centers or other places (besides the library) have computers for public access. If we have to resort to the library, any idea about how available their computers are?

As to the library computers, there often seems to be quite a line to get on them at the Villages Public Library as well as at Lady Lake Public Library especiallt in the winter months when the snowbirds are here.

I'm sure some of the fine TOTV folk will let you use theirs for short periods? If I were there you'd be more than welcome to it!

I'm more or less in the same boat since my laptop decided to go kablooey. I've found the Mark Twain Library in Paradise Center to not have too long of a waiting time. Otherwise, it is the library on Parr Drive and Savanah Center.

Would it not be easier, just to download whetever you need from you table PC to your laptop and bring that with you? All the rec centers have free
Wi-Fi.
I keep my "old" laptop around expressly for that purpose. It is not nearly as fast as my PC or my regular laptop, but when traveling it serves the purpose. Plus it's old so if it breaks or gets stolen, it's not a real big deal.
If you scroll down there is a piece on "Internet Access".
