If you own an electric golf cart, how long did your batteries last? How many years old were the batteries when you replaced them?

you will get 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years with no proration. Except, the new EZgo has a 4 year warranty that is prorated on replacement. Average replacement $600 and some change.

Traded my EZ-GO electric in on a Yamaha gas when the batteries were three years old. It was a struggle to make it from SS side to Lake Sumter side; play 18 holes and complete the return trip.Maint was kept up to date(battery water level) and they still only lasted 3 years.

Ours were five years old, and I had made the mistake of unplugging the cart completely when we went back up north. The batteries 'died' completely to the point that the charger would not even register that they were there. A technician at Ken Spano's Golf Cart Service (whom I had called for a price on a new set) walked me step by step through how to 'revive' the old ones, and it actually worked! However, at that point we just didn't have the confidence in them and so decided to replace them. Got the best price we could find from Spano, and the tech came here, did all the work, replaced everything that had to do with the batteries (included in the price of the batteries), checked tire pressure and lights, and hauled away the old batteries with a 'Thank you for your business, sir!' What a pleasure!
