I recorded it and went to some pretty funny extremes to make sure I didn't accidentally hear who won before watching it.

After watching it, all I can say is WOW!!!!

While I was rooting more for Lefty than Henrik, being a so-so iron player I have always admired Henrik's pure ball striking and general nice guy demeanor.

After watching this duel, I'm still trying to digest the extremely high caliber of golf displayed by both of them.

So here's kudos to Henrik, but Phil certainly doesn't have anything to be ashamed of or hang his head about.

Unlike some of the other majors where he finished second (11 times now), Phil didn't give this one away...Henrik just took it.

When you hit 78% of GIR, only take 28 putts, don't have a single bogey and shoot 65 in the last round of a major, you should win going away.

But when the other guy hits 80% of GIR, takes only 27 putts and ties the lowest last round of a major winner in history...there's not much you can do.

What a classic for the ages!! :bigbow:

Yep...one for the ages.

You're right, Cold, Henrik just won it. Phil gave nothing away and should be proud to be part of such an epic battle.

Interesting fact---Jack Nicklaus had more seconds in Majors than Phil currently has. I'm not sure what that means but Phil had a great second place today. Both players were in a zone.

What a great fuel. Two great competitors playing outstanding golf.

Stenson was unbelievable becoming only the second person to shoot 63 in the final round of a major sing Johnny Miller did it in 1973. And as good as that was, he had two three putts and missed a short birdie putt on 17. He easily could have shot 60.

Last day the weather was great, prior to that, playing Troon would not have been on my top five list! Lot of players just got a bad draw. Really pulling for Jordan. Will see how they play at PGA!
