As a man who is proud to call himself a feminist, I applaud Megyn's courage. :BigApplause:

Two sources told the New York Magazine publication that Kelly told a team handling an outside investigation into Ailes' behavior that she, too, was the victim of sexual advances from the Fox News executive about a decade ago. The probe is being handled by New York-based law firm Paul, Weiss, Kelly, on behalf of Fox News' parent company 21st Century Fox.

Sources told the Daily Intelligencer that Ailes was told to resign by Aug. 1 or be fired for cause.

I'm betting he will be gone quickly now, but the disgusting institutional sexism will never really go away at Faux News.

It can't, it's in their DNA.

I wonder if this will qualify him for membership in the club along with Clinton, Wiener, Barney Frank and the Kennedys. Probably not extreme enough to qualify him for that club of perverts. I bet as perverted as Bernie Sanders is, he wouldn't get in either.

Unlike the Left Media this issue will be dealt with quickly and properly .
Reports are that Mr. Ailes will be gone one way or another by August 10th .

And she still won't get her job back. And she will probably lose her court battle, considering all the good things she said about him in her book. She's just getting too old and too fat for FOX. Time to put her out to pasture with the rest of the old cows.

Isn`t it interesting that while she was on her way up Ms. Kelly [ not her real birth name by the way ] could not say enough good things about her boss .
However now that she is well established and is nearing the end of another contract suddenly she was victimized by the guy !

That's right.

Being a 'feminist' is simply believing that women should be treated (and paid) the same as a male...in the same situation(s).

Nothing exceptional in those thoughts that they require some sort of label to make you feel good about yourself .

I frankly do not know another male who feels otherwise no matter what their political philosophy .
So you seem to think that only Dem leaning mend have a monopoly on treating women fairly and equally ?
What planet and place in history are you from ?

You're either;

1. Brand new (today) to this forum.

2. Read very few, to none, of the threads/posts here.

3. Lying through your teeth.

One has to only look, to see all of the posts denigrating women in this forum. :ho:

Again I don`t know of such men . I am not one and the only label I need is " Gentleman ".
I don`t need any special title or medal for treating females as equals .
That doesn`t mean that there are not some who fail to do so or harbor such sentiments but again it doesn`t earn you a title or medal for doing the right thing .
Being able to call yourself ' Gentleman ' should be encompassing enough .
I think that you like to use the Feminist label for yourself because it makes you somehow feel superior .

Well pardner, here's but a peek of the last day or so that says you don't know what you're talking about. ;)

Sorry beta, unlike you, I've never met a woman who was equal. Maybe in one thing, but overall, no way.

They belong at home raising their children with the other women. That's their only "job". The men should be out providing a living for the family. It's worked this way FOREVER until the 60s when we thought we knew better and we destroyed the "family" system and replaced it with government welfare.

It's not working, it won't work, and soon, we'll be back to it when welfare proves unsustainable. Half the population already receives some form of welfare.

Retired early and living in the villages...a loser?

Give it up beta, go see what the women need done.

Bring me a sandwich.

I laugh at you pretending to be a man.

And with everyone here being a 'guest,' it's hard to determine which misogynist has crawled out of the woodwork at any particular time.

For sure though, there is more than a few that are hiding behind their keyboards (just as you are).

Now, what was that you were saying? LOL :1rotfl:

It's only one guy, for crying out loud. Get over it or go away. Some of us would rather discuss issues, rather than listen to you two bicker. If you can't handle it or ignore it, just pack up and leave.

Where were all these cranky bitching females back when the incident took place.

I have no empathy or anything else for the ones who think they hear all aboard and try to climb on the money train by boo hooing what the say happened.....20 YEARS AGO!

Show em the door!

And you know it's 'only one guy' how?

I know based on earlier posts of back patting, that it is at least 4 or 5 that feel that way...and probably more.

But hey pardner, you had the chance to admit you were wrong after I proved it...but you weren't even man enough to do that.

Assuming of course, you're even the same person who claims to be a 'gentleman.'

Hard to tell, when you don't even use a letter/number/etc. to identify who is making the post.

Most 'gentlemen' admit when they're wrong, so you quickly failed that test too.

Not to mention that me saying I was a feminist in no way was meant to be 'superior,' simply a way to identify that I'm not one of these misogynist sleazeballs that you seem to have thrown in with.

And as far as "discussing the issues," now you're the one that is trying to appear superior...but without even seeing my posts (which are easy enough to find, since I'm not a too much of a chicken$hit to sign my initials).

So from here on out, why don't you sign your posts with a number/letter/whatever, so that I know you're not one of these misogynist sleazeballs also?

That way you can get...what you give.

Your tee.

Fox News, Ailes in negotiations over his exit-source (https://www.yahoo.com/news/ailes-future-fox-news-doubt-212835444.html)

July 19 (Reuters) - Roger Ailes, who built Fox News into a profitable ratings powerhouse, and Twenty-First Century Fox Inc are in negotiations over his departure from the cable news channel following allegations of sexual harassment, a person briefed on the discussions said Tuesday.

A Fox statement said a legal review into the accusations was ongoing and that Ailes was working. Ailes' attorney, Susan Estrich, told CNN that there was no deal yet and any announcement on an agreement would be made by Twenty-First Century Fox.

An exit would represent an unexpected turn of events for the 76-year-old media executive who advised several U.S. Republican presidents, including George H.W. Bush, and built Fox News into the most-watched U.S. cable news channel.

Conflicting reports of an imminent departure for Ailes played out at the sidelines of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, including tweets from conservative political commentator Matt Drudge saying the Fox executive had in hand a $40 million exit package.

Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson sued Ailes earlier this month, claiming sexual harassment. Ailes has denied the charges. Fox hired the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison to conduct an internal investigation.

New York magazine followed up with reports of other women who said they had been harassed by Ailes as far back as the 1960s. On Tuesday, the magazine said that star Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly had told investigators hired by Fox that Ailes "made unwanted sexual advances toward her" about 10 years ago.

According to the report, which cited anonymous sources, lawyers for 21st Century Fox Inc, gave Ailes a deadline of August 1 to resign or face being fired for cause.

Ailes had long been a confidant of 21st Century Fox Executive Co-Chairman Rupert Murdoch, who named Ailes founding chief executive of Fox News Channel in 1996.

But as scrutiny over Ailes increased in recent days, Murdoch and his sons, James and Lachlan, came to agree that he should leave the company, according to New York magazine.

Drudge on Tuesday tweeted an image of a page from a document purporting to be Ailes' separation agreement with Fox that was later taken down.

The document was replaced with an unattributed statement that said, "Roger Ailes has never sexually harassed Megyn Kelly. In fact, he has spent much of the last decade promoting and helping her to achieve the stardom she earned, for which she has repeatedly and publicly thanked him."

Ailes' lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.

Ailes departure with no apparent successor will raise questions about the future of Fox News, known for a lineup of politically conservative commentators. The network was the most-watched basic cable television channel with an average of 2.2 million prime-time viewers for the year through June, according to Nielsen data.

That sum should lesson the pain just a bit .

Sometimes at the pool I can hear women talking about the most asinine, banal topics. You wonder who took care of them their whole lives, who cuts their meat for them. There are some real morons in this world. Not so many stupid men, there was nobody to drag a man through life and onto retirement here in the villages. Idiot women marry, idiot men die young.

Oh please, we're laughing at them, we're hardly intimidated by them. They may outweigh us by 50lbs, but that doesn't frighten us!

Inferiority complex? Delusioned? You women, you talk about empowerment and equality and ALL we men think of you is...would I do her? We don't see you as equals because you're not, not in anything important. There aren't many, if any, "best in the world" who is a woman. I'm not talking about in a "woman's league", I'm talking, numero uno, top dog, out of everyone, it's never a woman...not often..if ever.

Facts suck huh?

What were you better at than your husband? Most husbands can beat their wives in just about everything. Games, sports, knowledge, ingenuity...

Want to apologize yet? :D
