Interested in what your actual internet speed is from your provider. Who is your provider, what speed did you purchase and what is your actual speed???

There are a number of sites that will test your actual speed. One is: Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test (http://www.speedtest.net)

Thanks.

I pay for 4-meg through Comcast but never get faster than 3-meg download and 1-meg upload

My CenturyLink service, via fiber optic to the house, is 40 megabits/sec download and 20 megabits/sec upload and it tests out at those nominal figures plus or minus about 5% using Ookla.

tests may vary....especially if you are wireless compared to direct hook up to your computer

Yes, the results will vary a bit based on routing, etc. I said +/- 5%. I use cat5.

Took that test. I'm not tech savvy, so I'm not sure what it means. LOL ;)
90 Download / 12.14 Upload

That's really good if your plan is 100mbps. You are getting 90% of the "up to speed".

Speeds can depend on the time of day and how many people are out there using your provider.

Uploads are always a lot slower.

Who is your provider??

Century link DSL rated at 10 MBPS. Usually tests out at 7-9 MBPS download, but only 1 MBPS upload. Pretty lame, but usable.

Comcast Service:

1. Comcast
>Pct. ratings “poor”: 28.3%

Comcast had the worst customer service reviews of any company this year by a wide margin. At 28.3%, more respondents ranked their experience with the company as poor than any other company. Furthermore, 54.4% of those surveyed claimed that their overall customer experience was negative, nearly 10 percentage points higher than the next worst rated company. This is Comcast’s seventh consecutive year on the Hall of Shame, and its first year at the top.
