That's very true. It always has been theater but often with a lot of real blood going along with it.

These elections often come down who has the most manipulative TV or radio ad. Does not matter if their content is accurate or false.

Same can be said of the elections of Adams and Lincoln except the ads were in an even wider range of media back then.
