According to a Quinnipiac Poll:

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) has very high approval ratings and would be favored for a re-election bid as Florida's governor, and he also would be heavily favored to win the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate in 2010.
He says he will make his decision in May.
Any predictions?:pepper2:

I sure as heck wish and hope that Charlie Crist opts to remain as Florida's Governor. Coming from Illinois, I know that any comparison between state governments might be entertaining, but not instructive. I think both Jeb Bush and now Charlie Crist have done great jobs as Governor. And one must also extend props to the members of the Florida legislature, and speaking for county government, the Sumter County commissioners, as well.

From all that I have experienced, this is the way state and county government should run.

Charlie Crist has held a lot of positions in FL government, as have a select others.

If Gov. Crist does take a run at the senate seat - and whoever runs against the incumbent gets my vote - I would expect Bill McCollum would be on the gubernatorial ballot.
