I seem to have been elected "cruise director" for my groupies. I vaguely recall a couple of years ago (in Tall Trees website?) reading a post on a very reasonably priced cruise. I'm trying to get info on 7 day cheap cruises where destination is probably not the most important criteria as some have never cruised before and this would be a getting your feet wet sort of thing.
Does anyone out there have any good info? Can you point me in the right direction? Would appreciate - thanks

I use this site to find the deals and then you can book with them (i havne't) or take the price to your favorite travel agent to see if they will match it. They usually will

LOTS of cruise sites (Travelocity, Orbitz, etc, etc) but I would suggest checking the cruiseline's webpage. The online travel sites don't have the discounts they used to offer, and in many cases the cruise line is the same or better price.
You could start by searching the port you want to sail from to reduce the choices.
My wife and I will be going on our 8th cruise vacation in April. :pepper2:

Group travel typically starts at 8 cabins or 16 cruisers....and when this occurs you can expect one cruise fare (of 16) to be comped and this does not included taxes or port charges. Youmay also get some on-board credits but it all depends on the agent you are using!

Thank you all for this great info. I will certainly check into all the suggestions you have given me.
Isn't this just the best source for good recommendations? Cheers to all the admin folk who have made this site happen and who keep it running smoothly.
