While this is Chump's slogan, he has yet to clarify/quantify..... when it is exactly that he thinks that America was greater than it is today.
So here's the chance for all of his supporters, to identify the years, administration(s), decade or even heck, century...where you would like to see this already great country go back to.
So let's hear it, tell us exactly what period (and WHY)...you want to see the United States of America go back to.
As for some of my 'fans,' yes I realize that simply asking such a simple question...will be considered 'bait' by some of you :1rotfl:

Love it.
Trump probably means the 1950s would be my guess after beating Japan and Germany in WWII and pretty much coming to a draw in Korea.
Good times for hard-working middle class white straight males.

I think it was the late 50's and early 60's. We had it all. A stay at home mom and a middles class working dad. Lot's of minimum wage jobs for 16 year olds and all you needed was a BA to be ahead of the pack. College was dirt cheap.
Why? Because our WW2 allies and enemies were bombed out . We had the factories and good roads and bridges and tunnels/ When they cought up the tables turned. But just like money that is growing due to compound interest the people at the top back then were poor compared to the people at the top now. Money makes money. The opposite is also true.
How can you compete with China when it comes to manufacturing? Workers are willing to live at the worksite and work like slaves.

So segregation and restricted voting for blacks, not to mention a lack of rights for women...is something you pine for?

Ten years ago seems like a good start. Before the Democrats took over congress in the Bush administration. But, I could give many time periods even better. Of course these years were not considered better for liberals. After all, law and order and lack of permissiveness is not something liberals appreciate.
But, I also see your comment as a bait job, so it is of no importance. A liberal will never be satisfied, no matter what is GIVEN to them or what country they live in. THey will always require more. More, without having to sacrifice or pay for it.
So go about your little life, little girl and cry about how you are so misunderstood Cry about how bad your life is. Cry about how our poor are living as well as middle class in other countries. Cry about not having your deviant gay lifestyle embraced by anyone that is religious. And cry about the police doing their jobs and putting their lives on the line for you, when you don't deserve it. And cry that someone else has more than you. Or, just cry to cry.

What does law and order mean to you??? Just the facts, Mam? With no context?
And there are gays/lesbians wgo are religious as well. Something's Gone Terribly Wrong (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/14/religious-)

CNMNo I don't. Is that all you remember about those years? If I was Black or gay for that matter I might not remember any days when America was great.
I gave you an honest opinion that doesn't work for you. Why don't you challenge what I wrote and not what I didn't write.

Umm, maybe because what you didn't write...is much more insightful?
It also goes a long way in explaining Chump's primary supporters...older white males.
Obviously, by the fact that you're a white male and by your defensiveness, those things I pointed out by your post...aren't nearly as important to you.
But as a NATION, don't you think they should be things by which a nation is judged great/not-so-great?
So in reference to my original query, you believe the days where blacks, gays and women had substantially less rights...are those where America was great?

That I can put myself in the shoes of those who don't have it nearly as well as myself and am willing to put my mouth (as well as time/wallet) toward helping them...is absolutely foreign to all too many on the right.
It's just a damn shame, that I don't have the super power to turn people like you black/female/Hispanic/Etc....so that I could sit back and watch you scream and whine about how you're treated.
You really should be thankful that I don't have that power. :D

I would have to say that it would not take much improvement over the last eight years, to make America Great again. Regardless of who's fault it is or was, these last eight years have been murder on a lot of average citizens. Rather than recovering from massive evictions and business closures, we have also had to deal with racial divisiveness greater than that of 30 or 40 years ago. There has been more folks that have given up and just left the work force than we have since world war two, I'm guesstimating. Who would ever think that we would have record amounts of families on food stamps in our country? And when I say record, I mean NEVER BEFORE. In the last eight years the middle class has lost thousands of bucks off their yearly salary.
I have heard all this cr@p from both sides of how they are going to improve the middle class. Tell me again how taxing from the rich and giving it to the poor in more entitlements is going to help the middle class improve? I can see how the lower class can be boosted artificially up to middle class standards, but what about the workers of the country? What about the middle class? All I see is the impending need to start taxing us MORE to pay what they can't bleed out of the rich. I see only the middle class moving lower and lower to the poverty or at least the lower class level.

Well, we did have detention camps and pow camps in America for Japanese and Germans. Not that I am for it, but the closer vetting of non-citizens could be done. Those that have overstayed their visas could be deported. Why not make any Muslim from a terrorist infested regions have to be sponsored by an American citizen and that citizen would be responsible for their actions and making sure they don't overstay their visa? Just an idea.

Any bets that a big % of the blacks saying that race relations have gotten worse.....will also say it's because a lot of whites simply don't like having a black POTUS? ;)

How can Obama be black when his mother is 100% white. Why if one parent is African is the child always considered black? That notion goes back a long way and despite what black Americans think of those times, they seem to abide by the old rules, including Mr. Obama. I say Obama is white, which pretty much destroys that first black president thing.

I was about to mention the One-Drop Rule, then noticed you linked to it.
I respectfully disagree with you though, that Black Americans "abide" by that rule.
The choice isn't really theirs, it is white Americans (who are the majority)...that decide.
Even though the 3/5ths ruling has long bit the dust due to the Thirteenth Amendment (and subsequently strengthened by the Fourteenth Amendment), it is most white Americans that insist on calling anyone that looks black, or has any black blood in them...as being 'black.'
You, being a refreshing anomaly. :coolsmiley:

Liberals insist that its whites that hate blacks and hate a black president that is the fault of the racial divide. But, that has been debunked more than once on here and CNBC above knows it. Ms. Master Baiter is just trolling for more fish bait when she makes her statements that she knows is wrong. If not for the majority of whites that voted for Obama BOTH elections, he would not be president. Therefore, most likely it was something that happened after the election that caused the great racial divide. Many suggest that a lot of this issue rests on Obama's shoulders. Between his failed policies and his anti-white rhetoric, I can see how that would be the ONLY plausible reason for our great racial divide. It would be convenient for blacks to blame whites for the racial divide but I have yet to see a white caucus in congress. And I have not heard any anti-black rhetoric issuing from our white politicians. The black bias has been perpetrated by the blacks themselves. Obama as a black man, has been given a pass on many issues that any other ethnicity would have been impeached for. The only reason he has not been impeached is because of the fear of another racial riot in D.C. and in other major cities in America. Thanks to Obama's failed policies and his blatant racist baiting, I doubt you will see another black president for decades. He has ruined it for better black representatives than himself, only because of his radical ideology and racially biased ego.

PS. It would be really nice (and quite helpful) if you took a basic class in writing. You might learn about simple punctuation principles, complete sentences and things like when and why short paragraphs are more effective.
