OneBlood to begin screening all donations for Zika - Sun Sentinel (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/health/fl-zika-stops-blood-donations-broward-miami-20160728-story.html)

I donated platelets on Friday 7/29/2016 and it looks like they will be testing all blood or other donors in Florida.

You have to fill out some additional paperwork.

I have done 81 donations of blood, red blood cells, platelets, and plasma at One Blood since 2007 so I am fairly familiar with their paper work.

Not enough to protect against this potentially devastating disease that can change the course of a young family to a heartbreaking experience.

I worry about all young families visiting any area that has Zika.

I worry about all young families visiting any area that has Zika.

They seem to be conducted massive efforts to contain the Zika virus in that square mile near Miami's downtown.
