We have an old set of Morning Rose Silver Plated utencils that have included the 2 pieces pictured here. Does anyone know what these are called? Help please.

Morning Rose is an Oneida pattern from the 1960's.
The first piece, to my eye, looks like a pastry server ~ but the ones I find online are pierced. The second piece, with a 'bite' out of it, I cannot identify.
I am a big fan of silverplate, and you have me stumped.
The Victorians had a special utensil for everything, and they fascinate me.

What size are the utensils? My grandmother had something we called a spork (or some other name I can't remember) in her silverware. It looked like the bottom one and was a dessert utensil that was a cross between a fork and spoon. But it was the size of a teaspoon.

If they are a big size, I would say the bottom one is a meat/lunch meat fork/piercer.

After more research, I suspect the top piece is a cheese knife. If the size is around 7 inches, and one edge is serrated, that would confirm it.
The other piece is a mystery.
The 'spork' CFrance mentioned is an ice cream fork.

If you do a search on Electronics, Cars, Fashion, Collectibles, Coupons and More | eBay (http://www.ebay.com) and type in morning rose silver plate you will come up with quite a few for sale. We received a set of these for our wedding gift in 1975.

I think they are salad servers. Use them together (sort of like separated tongs) to remove salad from the bowl and transfer to your plate. I have a set of Morning Rose and love them but not these pieces.

The pieces are 7" in length. "bluedivergirl" is probably correct about the top one as it does have a serrated edge, so a cheese knife makes sense. Still not sure about the other one.
