It appears that the proposed new development on 466A approved by the City of Wildwood over a year ago is about to begin construction. This is a large undeveloped property on the north side of 466A between Sandhill executive course on the east and Powell Rd on the west.
Driving by yesterday I noticed 6 large dump trucks, plus back hoes, tractors, and other equipment parked in the area across from Palmetto exec course. Plus all the fencing bordering 466A has been taken down.
Nearby residents should be prepared for lots of dust and noise.

Nearby residents should be prepared for lots of dust and noise. To be clear, Trailwinds Village will be located on the EAST HALF of the large undeveloped property. It does not go all the way to Powell Road. This will become more evident as the clearing of the land continues.

Clearing began Aug. 1. According to a representative of the developer, they anticipate having the infrastructure completed in 12-14 months.

Also from the developer: "We have some users. However we are not authorized to disclose at this time."

Are you talking about Sam's Club ? Can't imagine they would build another so close.

I doubt it very much. If I remember correctly, one of the sticking points when TV was looking to develop that parcel was that Wildwood wanted golf cart access for their citizens and TV said no. I don't think TV will allow access into TV from that development just to prevent cart traffic from Wildwood coming into TV.

What the heck is driveway party talk? Came from a lady I work with who lives on the same street as a Wildwood commissioner and heard it from him. Is it 100% reliable? Probably not. Is is pretty reliable? Probably so. I guess we'll know sometime in the future, won't we? Speculation about this sure beats the heck out of talking about dog poop, saving seats or bad parking, doesn't it?

Dick's seems like a good pick but Sam's Club would be doubtful in my estimation because of their facility in Lady Lake. A Macy's would be a surprise since they are closing 100 stores. Hooters doesnt make my list because of the age of our community and the lack of a real close hospital. Finally, I'm opting for a Dunkin Donuts, Culvers, Sonic and a Steak n Shake down in South TV. Could a Costco be mistaken for Sam's?

Costco could never be mistaken for SAMs. LOL. I did have to stop at Dicks today, looking at the store I wondered if it could survive, in TV. The golf department, as long as you are buying name brand clubs. Most clothing is their brand. Can't imagine the Fishing, running, tennis, baseball/softball, and work out equipment would have volume sales. Shoe department could do well. Maybe it would be a scaled down foot print from a regular store.

TRADER JOE'S???? Where is the TJ rumor?
Dang!
How many grapes are on the vine at the driveway party?
Rather, should I say WERE on that vine as said driveway may have absorbed some pink, rose`, white and Welches.
Happy Monday.

Yup. There were two when we got here. One went out of business, and the second one went out a few years later probably about 5 years ago.
