Moved down in 2009 from Patchogue. Downsized big time. Everything fit in a POD. No problems delivered to my drive on LI loaded picked up and arrived in my driveway here as promised.

My experience with PODS was good.

Definitely use PODS if this is the way your going to move. Stay away from the Rat Pack Rat...a heart breaking experience from start to finish to save about $300. PODS is a professional operation for sure.

For what it is worth. We moved down to FL 10 years ago.
We used Maffucci which is an agent for Bekins. They did an excellent job.

Hi, we used a gent, Bruce Ice, he is in the Sun paper. He moved us from the west coast, even our car in a closed van and he was prompt and kept his word on everything.
Bruce Ice, Iceman movers, he lives nearby in Tavares.

Throw away anything you do not need. Then throw away half of what you think you will need. Should be just about right.

That's about right. Most, if not all your winter clothes.

:agree: You will quickly find out that the dress code in TV is relaxed with a Capital R.
The stores here: Kohls, Belks, Bealls, among others, have wonderful sales and money-off coupons.
