View Full Version : "the all-time regulation record": Wsj 8.6.16

Editorial :" Wall Street Journal " 8.6.16
Note : The WSJ is owned by News Corp, a Robert Murdoch company .
" The progressive explanation for the slowest economic recovery in nearly 70 years is that expansions after financial crisis are always like this . "
" There appears to be no statute of limitations on this excuse , which is especially convenient every four years. But those who want more than a political rationalization might look to the all-time presidential record of costly regulation set by the Obama Administration . "
" The news from a government report to be released soon showing that Obama`s regulators have completed their 600th " Major Rule " ."
" A " Major Rule " imposes compliance costs of over $100 Million annually . For those keeping score that`s an average of 81 new " Major Rules " each year , or roughly one every three days that the Federal Government is operating " .
" The American Action Forum calculates that the estimated annual cost of all of this adds up to $743 Billion , based on data provided by Federal Agencies ".
" Some comparative cost perspective : $743 Billion is larger than annual economies of Norway and Israel combined . It amounts to a regulatory tax of $2,294 on every American each and every year. "
" The larger story here is that progressive economists talk and behave as if none of this effects economic growth. "
" Yet any entrepreneur or CEO will tell you that the ever expanding web of federal rules is a major preoccupation ".
" Meanwhile the regulatory onslaught continues -- and so does the meager 1% to 2% growth of the U.S. economy . "

This looks like a story manufactured by Fox News . Biased and no doubt bending the truth and using statistics to do so .

The ignorance of the people...they think adding all these taxes to businesses will solve everything. It'll just RAISE all the prices.
Now excessive "compensation" to executives we CAN discuss.

Now a whole bunch of you can't stop pouting, whining, crying and stomping your feet about it. :D
When my name gets constantly mentioned in threads I haven't even participated in, THAT is the clue that I'm living rent-free inside your heads. :1rotfl:
I really shouldn't take pleasure in being proved correct so often....as it really isn't much of a challenge. :D
But thanx anyway.

Yep, a legend in your own mind. Irrelevant, but a seeker of attention.

Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, it still shows how unoriginal some people are. ;)
I think by now my 'fan's' fake posts trying to be me, will quickly be spotted by intelligent people.
But it's pretty obvious, that someone must be utterly desperate to even try. :D
Which means I not only win, but that I'm living in the simple twit's mind more than rent free...he's paying me to live there. :1rotfl:
Thanx for the insight into how much I **** you off.

One "fan" seems to be making fun of you. I wonder if you really "***" him/her off, or your ego refuses to recognize you are the brunt of the joke.

:1rotfl:
To be the 'brunt of a joke' one has to care at least a little...what the other person thinks.
I don't. :D
That I pi$$ off so many, that they constantly mention me in threads I haven't even participated in...says it all. ;)
Therefore, it is obvious that the attempt at making me the brunt of some joke is a total fail, which leaves only one conclusion.....they are definitely pi$$ed off. :boom:

That I pi$$ off so many, that they constantly mention me in threads I haven't even participated in...says it all. And it builds my ego so much that I have a hard time getting it under the roof of my golf cart ;)
Therefore, it is obvious that the attempt at making me the brunt of some joke is a total success, which leaves only one conclusion.....they are definitely pi$$ing me off. :boom:

So lets do away with all corporate regulations. Most of the
people running these corporations are honest upstanding citizens, like trump. They will treat you fairly, do not worry. LOL

Is that the way liberals work? Is it always ALL or NOTHING? Have you ever heard a conservative say get rid of ALL the regulations? Are all liberals really retarded, or just the outspoken ones?
