Suprised at that? No.

Just looking for the same hue and cry on this from those that are so diligent in pursuing the rigorous honesty and accountability for the POTUS and company.

I'm not concerned about his tall tales or what happened in the last 20 years. I'm concerned about how we are getting bent over the table right now by the current administration. When Bush bent us over the table on several issues I was po'd about that to.

is a matter of practice...that seems to have no end in sight.
And now that some are scaling Obama it is bothersome.
I musta missed something!

There is no differentiation of politicians. They are ALL of the same ilk...no matter the party affiliation.

The big difference with this administration is he has the media to help put a better spin on no matter what is done and very little discourse on what has not been done.

Now that should surprise nobody.

Me, I keep hoping Obama delivers....if he doesn't....it won't matter....his eolacement will INHERIT an even worse scenario.

Just remember that most likely things as bad as touted daily are the as good as they are ever going to be...and that doesn't leavr much hope.

HOPE? Haven't seen any yet.

Gotta agree with most of that.

They ALL lie! Politics 101 requires lies for votes as the basis for all campaigning and network sound bites. It does not matter if they are seeking office, just got it and "explaining" what was said on the campaign trail It does not matter wither Rep or Dem, and all of the hero-worship in the world doesn't change the situation.

You can't let them stay in office long enough to get "efficient" at poli-theft or snucker. Oust them all after 3 terms (re0resentatives) and one term (senator or president) - in a country of 300,000,000 there's got to be others capable of doing their jobs.

I'd go with 3 for congress folks, and 2 for the Senators and/or President.
BTW, I've got to ask, what the heck is "snucker"?

He also lied about 8 million or was it billion for a light rail system, in the stimulus package, between Vegas and Disneyland.

I remember when Al Gore said "He invented the internet" which he didn't say and all I heard from my Repub friends was they couldn't vote for him because he lied.

This didn't come from the MSM....how many times have I heard on this board about this or that not being on the MSM.

Nobody want to talk about how the Bush Administration lied us into the Iraq war....but they will sure talk about Clinton and the intern.

Seems to be a double standard here.

No double standard - they all "redefine" the truth when it's convenient or politically expedient.

I am not talking about them...I was referring to us. How often did I hear that negative stuff about Obama was not picked up in the MSM.

People are up in arms about the stimulus package and this guy is lying about a light rail system that isn't even part of the package.

The problem with it is twofold

He was represented the Republican Party in response to Obama speech Was he using Republican talking points?
He told multiple lies
As we all know a lie can travel half way around the world before the truth has put its shoes on.

How many people really know what is in the stimulus package and how can I believe the Republican arguments against it, wasteful pork as quoted on this site, when he cleared lied about whats included in the package?

You have just described the problem - what's really in the stimulus package?

The size of the document (approx 700 pages), the time frame (none) for debate and analysis, and explanation of what each item which has a price tag attached really involves (none), and the total number of price-tag items (does anyone really know?) makes for obfuscation, confusion, innuendo, and falsehoods.

I read half of the bill, and gave up. How many congresspersons, their aides or anyone else actually have made an attempt?

There is no reason for having an elephantine piece of legislation which those who are supposed to vote for-or-against can't comprehend. The TRUST ME, I"M YOUR POLITICIAN approach to presenting the bill for vote was an open invitation for abuse, hidden agenda, special interest favoritism, et cetera.

We have all been scammed in our lifetimes by the, "hurry up, you can't wait on this, it's now or never" approach to salesmanship. This time, the cost is worse and it's all done on a prayer and a guess - if indeed there's no con game as part of it and everyone is acting totally honorable.

I still haven't seen anything published which breaks down each item by price tag in some semblance of simple understandability. It's still a dark hole with no light. And I haven't seen a single Member of Congress, let alone anyone (person or organization) in Main Stream Media, make the attempt to provide a full airing of the bill's content.

TRUST ME, I'M YOUR POLITICIAN.......doesn't that make you feel secure?
