Probably can't pay the rent and make profit?? I hated it when TGI Fridays closed, about the only restaurant IMO worth returning to for me.

Let's hope they are making a profit. Otherwise...

It's one of my favorite restaurants primarily because of the salad bar.

Thats why they're closing can make any profit from a grazing herd of seniors @ the salad bar--you guys have killed the golden goose

Also, the younger generation has a real dislike for chain restaurants

On another note Macy's is closing 100 stores--brick and mortar retail may be a thing of the past

And, if there is a $15.00/hr minimum wage--forget about eating out

We went there last week with our son and his family; about 7pm it looks like a bunch of the elderly was dropped off from a bus, and you guessed it, they all went to the salad bar. 😄

For years the salad bar was a big part of the advertising for Ruby Tuesday. First time I ever went was because the salad bar always looked so good on TV

Really enjoy their menu selections and especially enjoy the salad bar that comes with it. We were there last Friday and it was a 35 min wait @ 6:30, we waited cause we knew it would be worth it. :BigApplause:

To answer your question in one word NO .

I am somewhat confused on the replies that you got..not one answered your question except myself.

The posting's pretty much raved about the " Salad Bar " how much they loved/liked Ruby Tuesday etc.etc.

The simple question is this why go off topic ? Why ?

An example recently a person wanted information on where to go locally for U-Pic Blueberries...one of the first replies posted was a picture of a " Peach Pie "...then get this the recipe for the peach pie..then a compliment on the peach pie..Crazy Stuff whoa !! :plane:

:1rotfl::1rotfl:

And, as to why people don't answer the question, it is because they only want to answer the question that is in their head.

They love the salad bar cause its plenty & cheap,too--the same crowd that frequents Fresh Market & grazes for free--you've got to see it to believe it, absolutely disgusting !!!

Trying to answer your question:
Most threads get "hijacked" sooner or later, (off topic), or some people don't take the question seriously. In general, it would be nice if some posters take into consideration that new posters are more sensitive to criticism and don't appreciate some of the humor dispensed. Some people are lurkers and don't want to post for fear of being put down.

It helps to know where some posters are coming from but then, one would only know that by being on the forum for a while.

I think most of the bigger chain restaurants do a good business so my guess and it is a guess, that Ruby's will be in business for the long run.

The Ruby Tuesday corporation has not disclosed which locations will close. When they make the announcement we'll all know

The person looking for the "left handed monkey wrench" have you check your turn signal oil lately?

Just kidding!

I was going to say something about having some swamp land in Florida for sale. But I guess I am too late, we all have already purchased the land.
