My intent is to not label it as good or bad...only to point out that this President now begins to bear the responsibilities of the office of POTUS whether he caused it or not...it happens on his watch....it's his....just like what he inherited (not to wear out an over used term).

I suppose one conclusion is thus far Wall Street isn't impressed with the business as usual throw billions and now trillions at everything.....with no details/accountability.

Time begins to tell, eh?

During the campaign ON THIS BOARD when I mentioned President Obama and his training and the only conclusion to be radicalism, I was told I was....well..lots of things.....and told it cannot happen. It IS happening and so much more quickly than expected !!!

IF this is what our voters want....to be sort of left of France....hey, we had a vote !!!

Frustrating, but surprising, NO. We knew what we were getting when he was elected. The media did their best to protect him, but anyone who did any reasearch, at all, had to know what he was all about. I've decided people want to be taken care of from the cradle to the grave. It's so much easier. Unfortunately, for these people, socialism can't be maintained forever.

I guess it is no different than the lack of participation regarding the lack of participation on threads dealing with the coming crisis of energy independence.

The usual participants are obvious by their absence and I don't understand why that is?

I hope they haven't abandoned open discussion to join the more cloistered forum that was alleged to being formed.

And it certainly cannot be they have retreated due to being pounced upon for Bush bashing.

There can be no progress without a struggle.

A few days ago I was reading over some of the Obama articles that have appeared over the past few years and that never made the light of day in the MSM (Main Stream Media) and one sentence part struck me with all the bad news coming from the WH with no glimmer of anything positive (which almost universally has been called out as a reason the market is just nose diving) and then today he threw us a small pep talk.

Back before he had the candidacy, Ryan Lizza who has written much on Presiddent Obama for New Yorker magazine and will be putting out a book on the first year of his presidency, wrote an extended article on President Obama and he intereviewed many of his past co workers, etc.

One of the folks he interviewed was Mike Kruglik...a fellow organizer who has and does still support the President and was one of his top organizers during the campaign.

Mr. Kruglik talked about President Obama as an organizer and how good he was at it. He mentions all the good things that President Obama did and that he was a strong believer in Alinsky's methods of "agitation".

He described how Obama how handled groups and one of the sentences just jumped out at me because of the last 6 weeks and what the WH (White House) has been preaching.....this is the quote....

"With probing, sometimes personal questions, he would pinpoint the source of pain in their lives, tearing down their egos just enough before dangling a carrot of hope that they could make things better"

It gave me, maybe not you, but me..chills.
