A good business practice solidified the reason why we've stayed with Dean's since 2010. I received an email from Deans Office that our credit card had expired and could we please call with the updated information. No threats just call at your convenience.

When I called the young lady in billing she noted that It had been 66 days since they could charge our account, but had continued to service our homes. I went back and looked at all of our credit card statements and no they had not charged us.

I also spoke to my home watch person Who verified our lawns were still being mowed and fertilized. In fact had come out on two separate occasions during this time to take care of a minor problem in our lawn.

Kudos to a company who did not let our lawn go astray, just because our account information was not up-to-date. You will not find many businesses that would do this. So Thanks to Dean's for having a great service. :BigApplause:

Nothing against Deans, but many companies do this.

I have had similar experiences, especially since my card was involved with both the Target and Home Depot hacks and had to be replaced, I forgot to notify Deans.

Deans did similar to me, and honestly I
can't remember a company doing that for me!
So I personally don't think it's many!

Again, nothing against Dean's and I'm also not advocating for any particular company, lawn care or other business. But, over the years I have had businesses notify me that my card had expired and they didn't shut down my account. One that I can think of off-hand was Virgin Atlantic for my old "pay as you go" Cell phone (my elderly mother uses it now). There have been others, but it's not really important, I wasn't trying to diminish Dean's practices, just stating that they are not the only ones. Everybody's card expires eventually and you can't remember every business that you need to update for, so they simply notify you.

I agree, but deans carried my account over $700 and had not charged me since May. I have seen other companies wait a month, but June, July, and August, I find exceptional.
