Because he was walking in a nice safe WHITE neighborhood. That's how you saw him. You wouldn't be stupid enough to be in a 99% black neighborhood. You wouldn't be writing this story if you had, there's a high percentage chance that you'd have been shot/stabbed JUST for being there.
They will NOT be kind WHEN they take over in 30 years.

I'll have to disagree.
The callousness, racism and denigration of minorities (and women) by a number of folks in this forum....IS political.
The OP's intent was to mock black's being killed for the egregious act...of simply being black.
As if they themselves, did something to earn the good fortune...of being born white.
Sadly, that is a huge insight into the thinking of a lot of the folks on the right...and to Trump's popularity. :(

Get your facts straight. There is only ONE poster on here that is doing those things. And he is NOT a Republican, if you had paid attention.
No, this is not politics. This is just someone's rant and you have been sucked into it, just as others. If you want to argue the merits of being white or black or other, female, hemale or shemale, then all you are going to do is open yourself up for more ridicule. I believe we are divided enough without encouraging more racism, or bigotry.
And you are just as guilty as the others, with your baiting and agitating posts. You don't know how to be mature about a discussion.
I've got better things to do than talk about anyone's feelings being hurt or inequality perceived by any group. I treat people as I want to be treated and then if they screw me over, they are dead to me.

Wrong again. ;)
I've already proved in another thread that there are numerous right-wingnut posters who do it... but you just keep believing what you want.
I guess that is the upside to people like you...in making everyone down here a 'guest.' :ho:

Of course it's a "rant."
Exactly what YOU (and almost every other poster) does...and have done.
Oh the hypocrisy and irony. :1rotfl:

"Encouraging it?!"
I simply point it out when it happens, instead of sticking my head under a rock and pretending it doesn't exist.
If you're so noble, please show us the posts where you've taken umbrage with the misogynists, racists and bigots.
I'll wait.

You just can't resist. There is only the one guy that's racist and he isn't a Republican. I realize that you can't conceive of anyone being decent that doesn't agree with you. I have on several occasions suggested that folks like you ignore him. I have also pointedly disagreed with him many times, until I also started to ignore him, like I do now. You act so juvenile and immature on here, I can see why the only ones that will reply to you are those that disparage you instead of debating political points. You have no argument, just agitating and baiting. No, I do not wish to provide you with my replies to the racist, or even care to humor you. You are a pest at best, and possibly a troll. I have tried to discuss points with you, but you insist (as always) to play games and use your little cute emoticons. I know you said you do that to agitate, so I am not accusing you of anything that you haven't already admitted. So, play your little games. You have been chastised on several occasions, with negative results. You have no respect for anyone, so it's a useless effort to attempt to converse with you civilly. This is only a game to you, possibly due to your loneliness. I am not a shrink, so I don't know your motivation.
Have a good day.

Tell me how I would even know which are your posts, since you're too chicken$hit to identify yourself other than as 'guest?'
As to immaturity/agitating/baiting, there are so many 'guests' that exhibit those same traits (including yourself ;) )...it would be hard to pick you out of a lineup. :D
Given your lack of cogent arguments and constant evisceration however, I completely understand why you would want to run away.....and try and minimize your embarrassment.

The original post was, at best, offensive. Strangely, the fact that a black man wasn't accosted in a white neighborhood is a rarity. Here, they are pretty safe but the same wouldn't be true in an exclusive white neighborhood in, say, Orlando. Being a black male, regardless of age or financial status, does not preclude them from being routinely stopped by police just to make sure they "belong" in that neighborhood. White mothers don't have to teach their sons to be extremely respectful when pulled over for a traffic violation nor to keep both hands on the steering wheel where an officer can see them at all times. White sons don't have to call their mothers every night to let them know they survived the day without incident. These are all the way of life for a black man in this society. It's true in Florida, the Deep South, the Northeast, the Midwest, even California.
I have seen some of the most bigoted comments made on this forum that absolutely astound me. And they've come from men claiming to be supposedly from relatively intelligent and successful. I cannot believe that anyone would believe that our society would be better if women were forced to stay in the kitchen. Barefoot and pregnant is not a great way of life. Sending blacks back to Africa would mean the loss of many great people here.
Those that are under the wonderful illusion that minorities, females, et al., are treated equally and fairly in this society are just mistaken. I keep hoping true equality will occur but I know it won't be in my lifetime but things have vastly improved from the days I went to college and started out in the workforce. So, I'm grateful for what has been accomplished but know it isn't enough. I don't want to go back to the fifties.

Come on, you know that you are referring to just one individual on here. And if you insist on PC, how would you have an honest discussion anyway? I just ignore him most of the time. He is neither D or R, so don't act like it is "all" of us that talk like that. As far as being bigoted if we do not believe in BLM or transgender bathrooms, that is just stupid. The majority of America believes that way.
Liberals really need to get a grip. One person in a forum does not make the forum. Just ignore him and "man up."

You're right, they are not "treated equally", they're treated specially, in what many call reverse discrimination.
I had the highest qualifications for a job back in the '70's, but was told by the board that I had to endure and wait because they were being sued for not having enough minorities to fill a quota. They actually lowered their requirements so they could hire those minorities. I came back every year for five years for that position before I got it. And most of those hired instead, were no longer there.
Another incident of discrimination was my cousin, now deceased. He was a fire fighter in a big city. He took the promotion exam and did very well. So did several other "white" members. They were skipped over so they could promote minority members that did not have their scores. He was lucky because he and the seven other members that were skipped over, sued the city and eventually won a discrimination suit. He was given two promotions and back pay. Several of the others were already retired by the time they won, and got back pay.
The government is also guilty of discrimination. I checked a promotion list and found out that the ONLY persons promoted in one area, were minorities either female, black or oriental.
Affirmative action is discrimination, no matter what you wish to call it. To be treated equally is NOT to have special treatment. To be treated fairly, advancement should be based on merit, NOT race, gender or especially sexual deviation.
Now, if you construe this a being bigoted, then I feel for you. You must have grown up in a very protected environment. I am not going to apologize for being white, but I am not going to disparage minorities either.
I do not slander minorities, but I will not give them special treatment either. As far as your beef regarding women, they get paid the same as men for the same jobs. That is a federal law. It is not my problem if they spend much time off with their children when the child is sick or when the lady wishes to have children. That is their prerogative. It's their choice. It is NOT my problem and I do not feel that they should be given special treatment in the workplace. A business needs employees to survive and if their important employee can't come to work, then the business suffers. Business does not make profit by coddling special groups.
This forum is here for the purpose of discussing political issues. If you want to make everything personal, that's to your detriment. If our resident racist wishes to make everything a "minority" issue, that is going to take it's toll on his health eventually. I prefer to ignore him, rather than argue with him. You are not going to convince him out of his many years of bigoted philosophy. He has set his mind and it is useless to bother with his ilk.
I do not, or seldom agree with you but I do not take our differences personal. You have a liberal manner of seeing things and I have a more conventional and conservative way of looking at life. We differ, and that's what makes America great. But, do not attempt to group all of us as one group, based on the actions, bile that comes from only one poster on here.

I feel your comments are very simplistic and quite myopic.
As if no white person was ever taught by their parents to be respectful to officers!
The bigoted comments I see here, seem to come
from only one or two, and I personally experience
many races coming together in a positive way day
in and day out! But it seems there are some race baters that prefer there weren't true.
Or maybe some haven't had those positive experiences!
In my work life over the years, I have seen women given every opportunity for personal advancement and fulfillment,
in fact the last two corporations I worked
for were owned and run by a women!
The 50's had a lot of good and surely some bad,
and present times are no different,
having some good and also the bad!
When basic human nature changes, then we might
see some real progress, but I don't foresee that happening soon.

So the "luck of birth" is the only reason we're "better than them" and we should have to stoop to their level so they can be "equal"?
You through the "luck of birth" were born a "human", what if you were born a dog or a rat or a cockroach...should you still get all the rights of a "human"? After all, we humans are human ONLY through the luck of birth.

Where he wouldn't be safe is in his OWN black neighborhood. You don't hear about random killings in exclusive white neighborhoods unless it perpetrated BY the black man.
White people are stopped in black neighborhoods "where they don't belong".
White mothers teach RESPECT irregardless of who they encounter. White mothers don't "raise" violent animals that prey on each other...so no, they don't have this worry.
It's the BLACK society that is dangerous and violent.
They should be home raising, teaching, their children, not pawning it off to Lawanda the 3rd world ESL, idiot just off the boat from Somalia...so they can have a "career" shuffling papers.
You're treated BETTER than equal...you have quotas that get you in without having to qualify like we do.
We PEAKED in the 50s. It's been downhill since as we had to lower EVERY standard to get you in. So you'd "qualify". So you could steal someone else's spot.

Ha... Where? Where do you see this utopia of the races all working together in perfect harmony?
No, I've NEVER had those "positive experiences" with minorities. What positive experiences? What do they bring that's positive? Home values ride? No. Education level rise? No again. Prosperity increases? Nope.
What DO they bring of value?
We peaked as a nation in the 50s. The civil rights 60s slowly destroyed us. In 30 years, "America" will be just a memory.

Oh no, it's not just me...
We're divided because we're DIFFERENT...very different.
You're wasting your breath, they won't listen to you. Al, they care about is themselves, nobody else, not society in general.
You make a perfect case to be against minorities and then you cave at the end?
They're NOT equal and they NEVER will be.
You think it's ONLY one person? Just me?

No, actually I'm not...I just know the realities of many things. It's WHY I'm here in the bubble, to stay as far away as possible and "live the dream" of golf, PB, and all the other things I do. I can forget about the real world...but it doesn't mean I don't know it exists and I just want people to hear the TRUTH occasionally.
Gotta run...

Now that was an insightful comment, with a lot of substance. How do you manage to come up with all of this elaborate and intelligent information? Oh, did I get you mixed up with someone that had a brain? Sorry. :1rotfl:

As long as you don't try to make me sign a lease or charge rent, I have no problem living inside your head rent free. :1rotfl:
Whereas you, are absolutely worthless and couldn't make a cogent argument if your life depended on it. :ohdear:
While sad I suppose....it does make my job a little easier.
Thanks for that.
