I read recently that Florida either has or will issue digital drivers licenses. Does any one have one? How did you get it?

There is an excellent article, The driver's license of the future is coming to your smartphone - CNET (http://www.cnet.com/news/your-future-drivers-license-could-go-digital/) after reading this I will run as fast as I can from the digital license. One thing the article did not bring up, every doctors office I go to has a scanner for the license and you insurance cards, I know the phone is not going to fit in the scanner. There are 54 comments on the article I only read a few, that was enough. This does not look like a good idea, IMHO.

If your phone runs out of battery, does you license expire?

They will use readers like McDonald's has to scan the phone. The "FUTURE" is upon us. Change is GOOD! Besides, you might not need a drivers license for a driverless car.

down sized: Not all change is good. I could provide you with a litany of examples but there is not enough space here. some change is good.

I may be wrong but there are drivers like me who still don't trust their cruise control let alone a car without a steering wheel and pedals:D
