RIP Gene.
I still love the Waco Kid.

I can remember going to the movies about 1976 and seeing 'Silver Streak' with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor and did something I've only done one other time. Go and watch the same film again in the theater on another day. A couple of years later, I think it was 1980, I can remember going on Christmas Day to see the same two, Wilder and Pryor, in 'Stir Crazy'. They were a good match, too bad Richard Pryor couldn't keep it together long enough. RIP to both and to Gene's wife Gilda Radner.

I loved him in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." His handling of the obnoxious spoiled brat on the tour was perfect.

He was one of my favorite actors. The perfect clown for Mel Brooks. And no question he and Richard Pryor were brilliant together. It is with great sorrow I say RIP, Gene.

Let's say I met him quite a few times. He and Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft were extremely close friends, obviously, and I was so happy when he married Gilda Radner. When I found out Gilda was so ill, it broke my heart, they were the happiest couple and so in love. It was such a heartbreaking story.

Nicoletta, I didn't see the Fallon show but I did see snippets of it and I'm pretty sure Mel talked about Gene's death. Something about he knew he was very ill but now that he's gone, its going to be hard not to talk to him.

Good to see you answered KathieI. Thanks.

Say what you will about the Hollywood crowd they seem to be helping with my 224 613 Project a great deal over the past few years. Not with me personally but with the massive project I have been working on since January 1991. I have been trying to get them involved since then. Nobody tells me stuff out-and-out I just have to make that leap of faith.

Really like(d) the work of many of the people you know, knew.
