Has anyone had a problem with The Villages when trying to replace an older, single wide MH with a newer double or triple wide (assuming that the lot is wide enough)?? Also, does The Villages allow Park Models to replace an existing MH?

My sales rep says manufactured homes are replaced frequently enough now.
I can't imagine why there'd be trouble... but.. if you have specific info on what you'd like to do, talk to TV folks. Sorry I don't know any more than that.

Orange Blossom Gardens policy is that you may only replace with another MH no matter what your lot size. Silver Lake and Country Club Hills have allowed site built homes if it's a big enough lot (usually a corner lot). I don't know if site builds are still allowed in those two villages or the site built ones were put in there originally. Generally, those homes are not nearly as old as the ones in OBG so there have not been many removed and replaced. There have been a bunch pulled out and replaced in OBG. Some are replaced with triple wides but to me they are too big for the area and look a bit odd. Both my neighbor's homes have been replaced with DW and they are beautiful inside and out. We are looking at the same thing in the future but our lot is shallow because we're lakefront so we have to see what we will be allowed to bring in. No park models are allowed on the historical side. The Lady Lake zoning for mobile home developments (which this is regarded by the town) has a min sq. footage of 800 which I think rules out Park Models.
We love this side and would not live anywhere else. A lot of people don't even know we exist and have never crossed 441 to see how pretty it is. That's OK, it keeps it quiet. Shhhhhhh
