Read the thread about contacting the Villages warranty dept. about repair companies. Our gas stove and a couple burners are inop. Don't know if we're under warranty. The house is 5 yrs old. Anyone use a good GE gas stove repairman?

Some things to look at first.

Thanks, Kayaker. I'll check them out first. Always like to try to fix it myself before paying someone.

If you cannot figure it out, I used ABC / Fredericks - 750-1782. They came out that day and did a very professional job.

Thanks, Caveman. Used ABC, came out same day. They installed an oven igniter. The GE stock part was $70 but I couldn't have installed it and ABC said GE doesn't make the best parts. The burner had a bad switch but we can light it by turning on another burner. Parts and labor for the oven was $187.

Glad you got it fixed. It was my igniter also and about the same price. I also had the interior dryer duct cleaned and the price was lumped together with the igniter so I cannot tell you for sure.
