In Tamarind Grove, thunder at about 3:30 woke me. I looked out my front window and the paper was in the driveway. I ran out to get it before it might get wet, it was double-bagged and dry as a bone.
My delivery person lives in Coleman, that's a good ten miles south of here. In 5+ years we've never had to call for not receiving the paper. I think one of the toughest jobs is delivering the newspaper and we are fortunate to have a great one.

Our newspaper is ALWAYS here early, has never been wet. I'll bet most of us could not say the same from where we came from. It also is a great read, and CHEAP! (MHO)

The world is safe. The Village Sun is here. There is no news like good news, and lets face it, all news is good in the Sun!

The DS people are very dependable and I don't worry one bit, the paper will be in my driveway.
I also like when I call and tell them to not deliver the paper, as their CSR's are very good.
As usual, everything in TV works like clockwork!

I heard that on Thursday there is a pullout section in the DS that lists all of the week's activities in TV. I bought the Thursday paper from the vending machine at our mailbox kiosk for the past two Thursdays and didn't see a pull-out section of activities. Was I misinformed?

I worked for a newspaper in Wisconsin in the circulation dept. for over 40 yrs. The newspaper got delivered EVERYDAY, 15+ inches of snow & sub zero weather, NO MATTER WHAT.

That's strange---as you CORRECTLY stated, it IS there every Thursday. For $62/yr, might I suggest home delivery?

If you subscribe to the Daily Sun, the recreation guide is included with the Thursday paper. If you purchase the paper at a kiosk, it will not include the recreation guide. In that case, just stop into any recreation center and pick up a free copy.

Or it's online at Village Community Development Districts (http://www.districtgov.org) Recreation

That's a good tip, especially if you misplace your copy.

So true 2BNTV. IN 4.5 years our paper carriers have never missed a delivery. I have several neighbors who travel quite a bit, and the paper is always stopped and restarted as they request.

I think you need to be a subscriber for those. Also, IF you're speaking of the club supplement you can pick them up at any of the rec centers.

Yeah, but in Wisconsin, who would WANT the Paper, at least if it is the Madison Communist or the Milwaukee Urinal.... I would not take them for free. I wish I could get the Daily Sun up here when I am not in TV..I would pay a few hundred a year to get it. Way better, positive news instead of just killings and leftist slant. I would also pay for online access to a full Daily sun.

If our federal government was as dependable as the DS, this country would be in fine shape. And yes, when calling for vaca stop etc. the DS people on the other end of the phone could not be more courteous and efficient. kudos.
OK, I just gotta believe that this will be one posting ToTV thread that will receive no gripes. But I will not place money on that.

It would be nice to remember them during the year, too. They are reliable and not many people want to work those hours. Many of them have this as a second job. Yes, they deserve a tip other than just at Christmas!

As a former paperboy I couldn't agree with you more.
