Watched most of the hearing today and can only describe m,y reaction as nauseated. Do these congress people (Dems & Reps) realize that they look like complete buffoons? They all want face/camera time so they can repeat the same questions over and over, hoping they'll somehow get a sound bite on the evening news making them look tough. They don't understand what AIG does, nor do they even understand the basis for the bonuses, but they know they're dealing with voters who are even more ignorant than themselves.

God help us.

Well, someone once said, "Half the people you meet are below average." The odds of a measurable percentage of the "below" ending up in Congress is all too real. Scary still, they keep getting re-elected.

Reminds me of t old "L'il Abner" comic strip, and Dogpatch's ccongressman, Senator Jack S. Phogbound. The campaign slogan each time was "There's no Jack S. like our Jack S.!" How true, even today.

And coming up behind us, an even bigger percentage for whom their mamma is cable television and their daddy is the internet.

"Ah has spoken."
