I did a search and can't find any recommendations for a seamstress in TV who does alterations. I looked on the VirginiaTrace Site and called a few people, but didn't find anyone.

From time to time I need alterations as I don't sew. Does anyone know a seamstress?

Most dry cleaners have a seamstress or know of one that they will recommend. Just a suggestion.

I got Joyce Ballard's name from her ad in The Daily Sun. She just completed a minor job for me. She was most helpful. See phone number in previous post.

Thanks Barb, very much! That is exactly the information I was hoping for. And thanks Bogart for your comment about Joyce, I'll try her first.

I highly recommend Joyce Ballard for alterations. She altered a dress that I needed quickly and did a great job at a reasonable price. Her number is 751-7633

I am a seamstress living in the Village of Amelia. I love to sew. I sew every day for Giving Dolls or Bear Ladies. I would enjoy sewing for a little extra income as well.
My email address is heldt2@comcast.net.
I made draperies for a motel and 2 homes in Pennsylvania as well as clothing for myself and friends and family.
Thanks
