The Verdict (1982) - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/verdict/)

I really liked the Summary of the Case by the Paul Newman played character. :bigbow:

This movie is worth a second look or even a fifteen or more just for Newman's acting.

In case you want to wait for seeing the movie again before viewing the Closing Argument again I will just put in a link-- American Rhetoric: Movie Speech from The Verdict - Frank Galvin's Closing Argument (http://www.americanrhetoric.com/MovieSpeeches/moviespeechtheverdict.html)

It was a great performance with an intriguing plot. It's currently available on Netflix.

I got it from the Lake County Library System. You can get DVDs put on hold from any library in their system. Does cost $20.00 a six month period though for Sumter County residents. Lake and Marion County residents seem to get these for free. Reciprocal Borrowing (https://www.mylakelibrary.org/services/reciprocal_borrowing.aspx)

It is worth the cost for all the items available in Lake County. And I ca still go to Sumter County Library System whenever I want as a resident for free.

I enjoy movies from the past. I find some good ones on MGM channel 460 (Comcast).

DVR'd Lonely Are The Brave starring Kirk Douglas and Gena Rowlands what a great movie

Enjoyed The Verdict.

Many of the older movies focused and expanded on characters and dialogue, struggles, victories . Today most movie fillers are gratuitous sex scenes car chases or special effect. hence writing quality plots etc suffer.

Very good flick. Especially liked James Mason as the heavy. "Why would you keep a copy?"
