Moving to the Village of Collier the beginning of Oct. Very excited to finally be there. How would I find out what kind of activities the neighborhood might have for the residents to be involved in? I know there are lots of things to do at the different community centers, but it seems each neighborhood tends to hold potlucks, etc., also. Just wondering how I would find out about those things. Would appreciate any help.

By word of mouth when you get there probably. You coulf invite people over to your new home for a driveway party

Go to www.next door.com and register with your new address. Its sort of like a watered down FB but only for neighborhoods and their residents. Should find all you're looking for once you're registered. Good luck!!

I think a party at your home is a good idea.

Your neighborhood pool is also a good place to meet people and learn about activities.

Thank you all for the great responses and information. I planned on inviting some neighbors once we're settled. Guess the driveway party is the popular thing in the Villages. Will have to try that. Thank you again. Looking forward to finally "getting there".
