Next month, we will be sticking strictly to names and faces of our members for the video. For those who wish to participate, we'll get the screen names and faces of those in attendance. (there are some people who just don't want to be on camera....we understand that)
Last night, after I went to bed, I began to think about this current video. It was really great and, without exception, everybody I interviewed spontaneously spoke about Talk of The Villages and the effect it has had on them. It ended up being , not only a video about some wonderful people speaking their thoughts about the Villages and TOTV, but also a real promotion for the forum. (for that we are grateful) Next time, we want to stick strictly to the people themselves, so we get to put the names and faces together.
We care a great deal about our members and their feelings and want to foster a mutually enjoyable experience for everybody.
So, please plan to attend, and plan on me asking you to speak on camera. Feel free to decline if you wish.
I believe it will be April 17th. We'll wait and see about the location. It's getting so big, that Crispers may not be able to accommodate the crowd.

A question for TH:
Hey, TH, let me pitch you a hypothetical here. Let's just say that sometime this summer, or maybe early fall, some woman nobody knows shows up at one of these things, Let's just say that said woman might be wearing big sunglasses and maybe even a great big hat. Because, well, gee, I don't know, let's just say because this hypothetical woman would not want to have her picture taken. No pictures, still or moving.
Now, this woman that I am telling you about, well..... let's just say...... this is all in theory only, you understand, but let's just say this woman has her reasons.....let's just say.
You know, TH, you just never know. Said hypothetical woman might be in the witness protection program or she might have a bunch of people who knew her when or, or, or, well, there could be a thousand reasons for this woman to be camera shy. So anyway, TH, my completely hypothetical question is whether this completely hypothetical woman could just show up and chat people up and laugh and have a great time, but not have to have her picture taken. Still or moving. Hypothetically, TH, what do you think?
Oh yeah, and could this hypothetical woman get a Mojito at Crispers?

Funny you should ask. A lovely lady at the most recent Crispers luncheon, spoke to me on camera and said some absolutely wonderful things. Later in the day, she sent me an email and asked that her video not be used. We gratefully honored her wishes.
Any hypothetical woman who wishes to not be on camera, will not be on camera. Hypothetically speaking.

Hi Boomer, hypothetically speaking... you could get a hypothetical Mojito at Crispers..... Let's say this hypothetical woman with the big hat and sunglass was our friend Boomer, hypothetically speaking of course, Kathie would personally bring her a Mojito and sneak it into Crispers patio for her, hypothetically speaking of course.

TH,
Since Sailor and I are leaving soon, may I suggest Yankee Stadium for the next TOTV gathering.
Jan,
What if an English major were to be there and not want to be on camera?

Jan,

Well, well, Mr. Tony, I see here in this sentence you wrote that the verb 'were' is in the subjunctive mood. So you obviously know that the subjunctive mood is used to express a hypothetical situation, as in my question for TH. Do you see, Mr. Tony, how you just spit that old subjunctive mood thing right out there on the page?
Could it be that perhaps you, yourself, are the English major of whom you speak sometimes?
Imagine that, if you will. You, Mr. Tony, one of those English majors that you insist upon besmirching. English majors have to put up with being besmirched on Garrison Keillor's show, too, not just on TOTV by you.
But it is all becoming clear to me now. I suspect you is a English major. I obviously could not be one. Perhaps you have repressed it. Perhaps it is time to come to terms with your past. Think about it, Mr. Tony. Were you an English major?

I don't care what country's army he is in, if he doesn't want to be on camera, he won't be on camera.
Well! I never . . . !
. . . suspected that Jan was an English major.

Having read that for the last TOTV luncheon that KathieI brings name tags and a sign in sheet, why not have 2 colors (or different symbols, or whatever), one color representing those who want to be taped and have their picture taken and another color name tag for those who do not wish to be taped or have their picture taken? Just a thought.

:agree:Sure is, PP. I'll be sure to buy something that will differentiate those that want to be on camera and those that want to be incognito... But PP, you won't be here for it. Boo hoo. How can you leave the day before??? You must stay longer, your landlady insists on it!!! :pepper2::pepper2:

TH,
Since Sailor and I are leaving soon, may I suggest Yankee Stadium for the next TOTV gathering. YANKEE STADIUM? I'd rather go on a cruise, or to the dentist, and most of you know how I feel about BOTH of those!!!
