Anyone tried GarVino's and what did you think?
Thanks,

We've been there a few times and love it. Terrific wine list, and A-one entertainment. Very nice atmosphere.

They have a separate smoking area (glassed in) for the cigar smokers. We used to go when Mary Jo Vitale was singing - Wed. or Friday nights. I don't know if she still performs there, I've seen her at Katie Belle's recently. The venue at Garvino's is much nicer, more intimate, and I enjoyed listening to her much better there. She does a mix of standards, show tunes, and a little light opera. Extremely entertaining. Its a small place, not a lot of seating, so you need to go a little early. But people ususally stay for one set, then seating opens up. See their webpage: http://garvinos.com/

We also enjoy going to Garvinos. Whether it is to listen to their entertainment or just to sit and have a nice glass of wine some afternoon. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can Google for their web site which does list their entertainment schedule. I would suggest signing up for their email list for special events. They do have occasional cigar events and wine tastings. We went to the last wine tasting and the cost was only $5 per person. If you bought a bottle of wine that was part of the tasting they gave you $5 off the purchase.

GarVino's is on Canal Street in Lake Sumter Landing....about half way between the square and Two Jays.
