We use Deans, for almost 3 years. They are currently handling all of the yard work. They have been very responsive to concerns, and the most recent complaint has taken care of the thin grass, and our lawn looks great. Lot size is over 12,000 sq ft, so I am not really interested in doing this myself, especially in summer. An prices I give would probably be meaningless as I am guessing your lawn is much smaller. Just letting you know we are happy with Deans. Stay away from Service Smart, search previous posts. I have seen Falcon, Massey, and a few smaller firms in the neighborhood, all seem to have similar results.

We have Lawn Solutions of Central FL. Mowing, edging, trimming and blowing debris is $45 no matter the size of the lot. We have a big corner lot. We bought an electric hedge trimmer and trim bushes ourselves and bought Ortho and a spreader for the lawn and Scotts fertilizer. The trimming and fertilizer are not needed monthly but Ortho we spread monthly. Not a big deal.

On the same note, does anyone know of a landscaper that takes care of everything without having to call them after the grass is dying or the grass needs cutting or the bushes need trimming?

We use Dean's for pest, shrub and lawn care. We had used them for lawn cutting but they only cut every two weeks which results in a browning out of the grass for days. We now use Extra Hands Lawn Care, they mow once per week from April to November and every two weeks in between. Dean's was charging $50 per month, Extra Hands $55 per month. So far, satisfied and no browning of the grass.

We had Dean's for mowing lawn, pest control and fertilization. We have a Gardenia. We hired Jamie's Landscaping who did an outstanding job and made our lawn quite smaller. Called Dean's to request hand mowing, however, the price would go from $50 to $87 to just mow, then add the fertilizing and pest control. I requested a new estimate but was told we were at the lowest ($50). Oh and they do not fertilize flowering plants or large trees. It was approx $1200 a year. We cancelled everything but pests and now pay $108.50 quarterly. We are doing the rest ourselves. Trimming/fertilizing of shrubs and trees not required at this time.

I pay $40-50 for lawn mowing and $45 for each of 9 treatments through the year for the lawn protection.

Thanks all for your posts.
I'm an absentee owner right now till retirement in a few years.
I'm paying as follows:
20/month for pest (quarterly visit)
90/month for lawn (maybe includes quarterly trim?)
100/year for Termite inspection (looks like 10 minutes work on the form ???)
Is that "about right"?
