Hi, we are just moving into the Villages and took the survey opportunity just offered. I noticed in the survey that the area around 466A was not referred to; especially in the questions about where people do their shopping. Only 466 and 441 were mentioned. With all the survey questions concerning new shopping preferences, I hope that the area around 466A are being considered for additional development. Going up to 441 and 466 is ok but with all the additional home expansion around 466A it was disturbing that no reference was made to the shopping preferences of that area too.

Actually 27/441 shopping and dining was only mentioned with a WITHOUT cart accessibility qualification. For the past three years I have commented that there are areas of 27/441 with cart accessibility but they will not change it.
My feeling is that they are pushing the 466 hwy area to try and get more businesses to commit to putting stores in that area.
When they first advertised the building of a mall in Buffalo Ridge they were talking about something that would rival Paddock Mall in Ocala. All I have seen so far is restaurants and a Wal-mart and a Bealls.
IMO - the survey is slanted to whatever the Villages wants it to be and the summaries that will be printed in the Daily Sun will say we are all happy with everything.

zcaveman - hey bud, the question was about 466A not 466 LOLOL, fantasy football will start soon enough, by the way
michelangelo - we bought in Hemingway, a mile to the publix, Walgreens, bank, gas, and a few restaurants, etc on 466A (the leesburg wal-mart is even close and easy to get to without getting on a main highway). Commercial development lacks residential it seems (466 is only in the last couple years really building) but there is all sorts of room for 466a to expand - I'd not worry (I'm in fact not worrying since we already bought).
Once construction takes off on the south side of 466A, I think commercial will quickly fill in. Just my opinion.

When the third town square opens at the end of Buena vista , You'll have more shopping than you will want ,
Also the town of Wildwood is close by and it will expand at a rapid rate , That all wildwood can talk about now.........
Your gonna love it.......

I was actually agreeing with michaelangelo. The Survey is only interested in 466 and its Buffalo Ridge and associated restaurants in that area. They don't want to hear about 27/441 or 466A.
HOping the football starts soon. My NCAA pool hopes are sying.
