We, as a nation, started to lose our Constitutionally guaranteed liberties when Franklin D. Roosevelt seized on the circumstance of the nation to give government and the Courts extraordinary powers not embodied in the Constitution. It started America on a path toward Socialism and resulted in election of a President who in true Marxist style, by word and deed, espouses the Marxist goal of "redistributing the wealth" and growing government. FDR breached the protection of the Constitution and created vast new regulations, taxes, entitlements and agencies while exceeding what many scholars have stated to be his administration's Constitutional authority.

In Mark R. Levin's new book, "Liberty and Tyranny", he gives a stunning and revealing account on the evolution that has taken America to where we are today. Levin is a Constitutional lawyer and scholar with a writing style that is clear, concise and supported with flawless research and documentation. He has articulated the concerns of millions on the alarming and repressive taxation process that threatens life in America as our generation has known it.

I subscribe to his manifesto on TAXATION.

Levin states that the progressive income tax is designed to redistribute the wealth...not, fund constitutionally legitimate functions of federal government.

He advocates a flat tax or national sales tax.

A poster recently chastised that everyone complains but no one puts forward real ideas. Here's one I buy into. Levin proposes the "elimination of automatic withholding taxes for it conceals the extent to which the federal government is confiscating income from citizens". I wish I had thought of that.

"Eliminate the corporate income tax, for it is nothing more than a double taxation on shareholders and consumers, and penalizes wealth and job creation."

Eliminate the death tax.

All income tax increases would require a super majority of 3/5 of Congress. I believe the genius of this proposal is that it places accountability to their constituencies conspicuously on Congress.

"Limit Federal spending each year to less than 20 percent of the gross domestic product."

Preparing for incoming from a bunker in Lake Sumter Landing.

Great post and I look forward to reading this book soon !!!

What scares me is that this administration openly supports redistribution of wealth and just about daily attacks anyone who makes money (except themselves) !! I am so tired of hearing how greedy EVERYONE is and how the government is the ONLY answer to solve any and all problems.

they act as if they were not included.....from the POTUS to the Congress and Senate....when they are the epitome of what is wrong in America...they subscribe to those wealthy...not us wealthy.....

Typical hypocracy tolerated by the gullible (that would be we the people).

Just finished his book last night at 2:00 AM. Could not put it down. He is exactly on target with everything in there. Should be required reading before you could vote. He so clearly points out the problems, how we got here, and why we will fail as a nation unless we change our direction.

All well and good for the 'choir' to read Mark's book. What is necessary is to get the book into the hands of people who are still mesmerized by this POTUS who are not thinkers or know their history.
