It is working for me. Last week, when CenturyLink customers could not access the web site, I applied the fix that some people posted at the time. If this is another CenturyLink problem, that may be why it worked for me.

Seems like the URL has been hijacked. Type in TheVillages.net - Login - Email, tee-times, computer support - serving The Villages, Florida and the Tri-county area. (https://www.thevillages.net). Make sure there is no / after net. This worked for me.

Last evening (Tuesday) about 6pm I could not access the villages.net site or thevillages.com site. I have Century Link and last week made the fix which corrected the problem at that time. I know it's another CL problem because even though I couldn't get thevillages.com site, I was able to see the webcams through a third party site, which come from thevillages.com site. At this moment thevillages.com site and thevillages.net site are working for me.

Here is a site that is not part of The Villages system, third party.

The Villages Webcams (http://www.stockers.ch/thevillages/)

For Century Link Internet Users:

Go to the control panel, choose network and sharing, change adapter settings, choose your connection method, right click to get to properties, select internet protocol 4, then properties, preferred DNS server and enter 8.8.8.8 and the alternate DNS server 8.8.4.4

Is there some reason village.net can't fix this on their end?

I just called and a recording said they are aware of a problem with "Public Internet Name Servers (?) and are working to solve the problem.

I have Brighthouse ( south of 466A) and still can't get the tee time system. I was able to access the email through another members post of the IP address, but not the tee time system.

I'm trying to get a tee time for Saturday but this makes it difficult. Once today I was able to get the Villages.net site but when I tried to get the golf site I was timed out. I would assume that once the site is up there will be many people trying to access the golf site.

Site back up on my tablet using CenturyLink. It allowed me to view open tee times for the next three days. No time out problem.

Wow, John. Followed your instructions and husband was able to get in. He's a happy camper, once again. Thank you so much for the advice.
Now, my question. Do I leave my computer with those settings or put them back to what they were. If I have to put them back, will need your expert instructions. Sorry !

Suggest you make it via the phone. I just made one for Saturday morning and the times are getting thin depending on the course you want to play.

I finally got to their website and managed to get a tee time for 4 at Escambia at 8:41. Glad the site opened up.

Sorry you are still having issues.

Just checked mine, all is okay.

Maybe clear out all your cache and reboot......who knows, sometimes this helps.
