It doesn't suprise me. We visited Sun City maybe 7 or 8 years ago, and were struck by how old the residents seemed to be. We got there on a Sunday morning and they were all lined up with their walkers and wheelchairs at a dining area for the Sunday brunch. The ones we saw were definitely not golfers. But I suspect golf is going down in popularity nationwide. I wonder if we will have a similiar issue at The Villages in years to come?
