the governments actions to save GM:
"In this context, my administration will offer General Motors adequate working capital over the next 60 days. During this time, my team will be working closely with GM to produce a better business plan.
They must ask themselves: have they consolidated enough unprofitable brands? Have they cleaned up their balance sheets or are they still saddled with so much debt that they can't make future investments? And above all, have they created a credible model for how to not only survive, but succeed in this competitive global market?"
Now aren't you just a little teeny tiny bit curious who it is on his "team" that is qualified to do one thing he has stated? People spend years in a manufacturing company (yes GM is a manufacturing company) gaining the expertise of what it takes from a marketing, manufacturing, service and finance perspective to be competitive...cost effective...quick to introduce new products on a timely basis. And so now the "TEAM" whose only qualifications are they were given a job by the POTUS...that they may not know how to do let alone pass judgement on a world wide manufacturing company. The scale of which they have absolutely no comprehension...NONE.
Obama is so full of his new found power he has no idea what he is heaping on his unqualified team for the jobs he gave them, let alone pass judgement on a major corporation....that most likely NONE of them would be given a second look by corporate America. No I do not abide by ignorance is bliss...but I do subscribe to the notion when you are so far out of your element, don't keep trying to snooker the public with dialogue that sounds like one knows what they are doing. They don't.
If Obama wants to make GM survive he should assign industry knowledgeable experts....and many of them do work for GM....not at the corporate level.
He is once again disguising throwing money at something he does not understand. How could he? He is a lawyer! A talker! A campaigner, who has yet to prove himself of the stock that is capable of living up to the job of POTUS let alone some of the other distractions he is entertaining.
Way too many major issues without plans....time tables...accountability...responsibility...to have any possibly work.
I live by my prediction that you should enjoy your America as it exists today as it will not be any better for the foreseeable future (3 years and 9 months).
We are ripe and vulnerable to another 911 attack....it is all that will be needed to put this country in an unrecoverable dump!!!
