I have tried voting candidate regardless of party once. I went down the list of candidates, checking each one's ideology and how I thought they might vote on issues. After doing extensive research, and choosing the candidates according to my view, I ended up with a straight party ballot. Anyone that criticizes someone for voting straight party line, is being stupid. People vote according to their ideology, not according to personality, gender or race. At least, that is what they should be doing. And I do vote according to what I believe is best for the country. The problem with many of you is your definition of what you believe is good for the country.

I have traveled to many different types of countries, having many different political and economic systems. WE have the best and I do not appreciate an idiot, inexperienced elected telling me that the European socialist system is better than what we currently have. We have fought wars against socialism in the form of communism and I am not about to give all this up for some liberal know it all to throw it away.

If you folks don't like the idea of me voting straight party, that's your opinion. But, I have yet to see a liberal vote according to my ideology. It may be hard to believe a conservative's promises, but I do believe it when a Democrat states that they are liberal or even socialist.

Yes, I vote straight party line Republican on a chance that they might be conservative. The choice I have is a Democrat that promises to be liberal. Why in the world would I think that liberal might be a conservative?
